What color dress shirt to wear with black sweater?
I have a presentation coming up, and I'm going to be wearing a black sweater, with black dress pants. I need to wear a collared dress shirt underneath it with a tie, and i have to decide between black and blue. The tie I'm wearing goes with both shirts, so now its just a decision of which one! I like the blue because it contrasts the black, and looks casual. But i also like the black, because its fancier and looks sharper. The tie has splashes of blue, black and grey, so thats not a problem. Which one would look better? Thanks!

I would wear a black dress shirt if you have it. Black on Black with a Splash of color, like a tie, is a lady killer outfit. White would look too old school or like you didn't know how to get creative, and red would completely contradict the tie. so my answer is black.

What color dress shirt should I wear? I bought a charcoal tie, charcoal pants and have a pair of tan oxfords.
I’d go with a pale pink and black shoes. The pink is less stark a contrast than white would be and it wakes up the charcoal.
Light grey vest with dark grey pants?
Okay, so I have a fashion question. I have a light grey vest with a light-ish pink back. It’s the kind of vest that would be a part of the 3-piece suit. Now, I think this would look sharp with a white dress shirt underneath, but I’m not sure if I have the pants to match this. Would dark grey pants go well with this?

I say either Navy blue Forest green (army green) Grey Dark red (don't be scared to wear any of those striped!) You don't need a sweater but a sweater will make it seem more complete.
Is it okay to wear a solid lavender colored dress shirt underneath a grey/green/cream sweater to interviews at a software company?

Your goal is to look neat and professional. The picture shown in the comments is not appropriate for a job interview - it's way too casual. Even Juan's answer seems to border on overkill as well.Most importantly, if you are a man, unless you have a beard and/or mustache already, don't go in with that five o'clock stubble look.
