Had Anyone Tried The Hypoallergenic Formula By Enfamil For Their Baby

Enfamil Nutramigen(hypoallergenic) formula not filling?

Has anyone noticed that the enfamil nutramigen just doesn't seem very filling? I know it has the same calories as the non hypoallergenic formula but my little boy just never seems to be full on it. He is 2 months old and still sometimes can only go 2 hours between feeding and he eats about 5 ozs at each feeding. It just seems to go straight through him. I wonder since it's broken down into smaller proteins if thats the reason. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. This was the case for my older daughter too so I know it's not just him. Thanks

Switching over to cow's milk with baby on hypoallergenic formula?

My Audrey will be 1 on Saturday and she's been on Enfamil Nutramigen Hypoallergenic formula since she was really little. We tried soy formula again around 6 months and she just threw up all day so I'm afraid to try her on soy milk...but getting stomach troubles from milk-based formula is what made us go to hypoallergenic in the first place. Any moms with babies who were on hypoallergenic formula and made the 1 year switch to regular milk/soy milk/lactose free? I'm not sure how to transition or what kind of milk to transition with. Any tips for how you did it with your hypoallergenic formula baby would be great! Thanks :)

Anyone else use Enfamil-Nutramigen baby formula?

my daughter is 4months and she uses it. no it did not give her diarrhea, she has never had a diaper rash, yes it is helping alot with her colic and im not sure about eczema, we are going to the doctor next week i think she is getting either eczema or a heat rash on her neck i have it on both sides of my family so it is very possible for her to get it.

My baby cant even drink hypoallergenic formula?

This is my advice, i am not a doctor, but i think your baby is allergic to the "whole/lactose free" formulas. They are derived from cows milk. For some babies,Its harder for babies to break down the proteins in these formulas than it is with soy or rice based formulas. i honestly would stop with the hypoallergenic formulas and swich to a soy or rice based formula. Try it out, make sure he burps. Also, swiching to so many different formulas can cause diarrhea, excessive spit up and constipation in some cases. try to stick with one for more than a week, his little body has to adjust to this!!!! My daughter went from breastmilk to regular formula, it caused alot of ruckus for us(spit up, projectile vomiting, constipation and diarreha) so we swiched to soy formula and we have never had any problems since.

Has anyone tried low and free lactose formula for your baby constipation?

my baby now is 7 month old, and still constipated from birth,i already try all things prune, cantaloupe, pear,pa paya,
plum, peach, oat, karo, brown sugar, and try every baby formula, work well with one formula but not long before her constipation back again
im too afraid to use hypoallergenic and predigested formula because of that scary life threatning anaphylactic shock
usually low lactose used to baby with diarrhea but my pedi tell me it can be use to baby with constipation too, because lactose intolerance make some baby diarrhea and some baby constipated, but im still afraid that low lactose formula making my baby constipation become more chronic because its written for diarrhea, any opinion?

Your experience with Hypoallergenic formula..Alimentum or Nutramigen?

they put dylan on pregestimil (which is like nutramigen but even more basic.... and more disgusting) because he puked so much and constantly cried and arched his back... they thought he was allergic to milk but didnt do any tests

well.. needless to say.. the puking continued, if not MORE on pregestmil, and i ended up putting him back on regular enfamil (now gentlease) and added cereal to his bottles...

so, unless you know she has a milk protein allergy, i'd rethink this.. and save yourself a few dollars :)

Anyone have their babies on Enfamil Gentlease?

Our pediatrician recommended that we switch to Enfamil Gentlease after using Similac Advance for the past 2.5 months. My DD is having alot of really uncomfortable gas problems. The pediatrician recommended the Gentlease as it is supposed to reduce gassiness. I hope it helps.

Enfamil nutramigen formula?

I tried... it didn't work. Even doing it a little at a time over a day or so-90% old formula and 10% new formula, then down to 75% old 25% new-he started projectile vomiting. I had to keep him on it until he was on milk..... Oddly enough the transition to milk caused absolutely NO problems. We switched at 11 months with our pediatrician and pediatric gastroenterologists permission.

I'm sure this isn't what you were looking for though.... sorry!

What do you prefer for baby's formula milk: Lactogen or NAN?

For babies, it is universally recommended that breastfeeding or mother's milk is best at least up to 6-9 months. If in case of circumstances that prevent such situation - from the ingredients and mineral/vitamin compositions mentioned on the packages that I compared, NanPro wins over Lactogen in my opinion. I have started using it for my baby girl once she turned 8 months and hence used NANPRO 2, 3 (as available and applicable in India) and have found absolutely no problems at all apart from occasional vomiting or throwing of milk outside which is pretty common in infants irrespective of brand. I would suggest to try Nanpro for a day or week and see if the baby feels comfortable. If not, you can always try Lactogen/Enfamil or other products or consult a doctor. Most leading brands' products are indistinguishable apart from price in my opinion. I am not a medical expert and this should not be treated as an expert opinion. Please consult your pediatrician for expert opinion.

What infant formula is the best for babies 0-6 months in the Philippines?

Hi. I'm answering from New York.I used Enfamil Nutramigen starting after delivery in the NICU, and up through weaning. I supplemented breast feeding with formula because I could not produce enough milk. I am Type 1 Diabetic so both of my children were required to stay in NICU 24 hours post delivery. I was not able to start breast feeding until they were released. The easiest way to describe this formula is that it's hypoallergenic. It is made with cow's milk but the milk protein has been hydrolized and it is much easier to digest in this form. It's a high quality formula. My oldest son had GERD so this formula was exactly what he needed. I simply just used it with my second son despite his lack of digestive issues. The downside to using Nutramigen is that it's very pricey!Good luck!
