Hair Removal Cream On Private Area. My Skin Is Burned Help

Is it good to use hair removal cream on your private parts?

Removing hair on the surface of the skin is called depilation and removing hairs from its root is called epilation. Using chemical is a type of depilation hair removal as it dissolves the proteins of hairs on the surface of the skin and doesn’t do anything to the root and follicles of hairs. In terms of chemical depilation there are three different parts in genital area that make it a little tricky. The pubic area (Mons pubis); is like other parts of the body and you can use chemical depilation like any other parts of the body.Scrotum in men and labia in women have very thin skin and are very sensitive. If you use the same amount of chemical depilation in the same amount of time on your scrotum or labia, there is a big chance you burn those areas. Burning sensation on scrotum and labia is very common after depilation hair removal cream. The tip of the penis in men and the opening of vagina, clitoris and vagina itself in women are very sensitive. These areas are not skin anymore but can come in contact with chemicals especially in women. Chemicals irritate those areas, and you will have burning sensation, swelling, redness and pain after using chemical depilation.I am personally not convinced that a chemical hair removal cream is safer on genital area. The job of a chemical hair removal is to dissolve hairs and the hair on the genital region is exactly the same as other areas of the body. On the pubic area hairs are even thicker and coarser that many other parts of the body. I consider “safer on the genital or bikini area” as more of a marketing tactic than real functional or physical effect. My suggestion would be, it is not safe to use chemical in your genital area or at least on the sensitive parts like scrotum, tip of the penis, labia and whatever in between.

How to treat burn from Nair hair removal cream on the testicles and penis?

Well.... me and my husband were partying last night and we thought it would be fun to use the nair hair removal cream on our genitals because we have shaved before, but it always leaves nasty razor bumps. So we thought that Nair would be a way to get smooth skin down there. We put it on his testicles and penis, waited the allotted time then wiped it off and then he took a shower. He was in so much pain that he was ready to cry! His testicles were so red and burned it was unbelievable. I had a little rash on my vagina but nothing compared to his. I know it was dumb to do this, but its done and over with and now i have a hurting husband with burned genitals. Please, any advice on how to treat and relieve the pain would be much appreciated!

Is Veet Hair Removal Cream safe on your privates?

I'm a 14 yr old girl and I'm really embarrased because even though I'm a mousy dark blonde I have really dark brown pubic hair. For my vaginal area I just shave it but sometimes it causes irritation - so how do I stop that? But also, I have hair in my butt crack and anus and it's really embarrassing. I shave it but it hurts my back because I'm crouched over looking into a small mirror - it takes me like half an hour. I was wondering if veet was alright because I don't/can't get it waxed because that would be an awkward conversation with my mum (plus, I don't want to go out by myself because I'm really shy) so, is veet safe? Have you got any other suggestions?
BQ: I think after shaving my anal area, the hair has gotten darker and longer (I'm really pissed off at myself for that) and I was wondering if I put veet on it all the time or some other removal cream, will the hair lessen and get less dark?

Sorry for the embarrassing question. Thanks! ;)

What is the best hair removal cream that helps to remove hair permanently?

No hair removal cream will remove hair permanently. One of the more common creams used to remove body hair is Nair:But… Does Nair Really Work? From DoesItReallyWork.org:“Nair has been around for what seems like forever, promising to give you smooth legs without the need for a razor. It’s definitely one of the most popular depilatory creams on the market today, and it has been able to make enough sales annually to stay in business all this time. This might lead you to think that it definitely works, but all they would need is a dedicated fan base to give them repeat business. We analyzed what people are saying, and came up with our own conclusion as to whether or not this actually works.”Overview“There’s no really great way to get rid of your leg hair, but many companies are trying desperately to earn the title. Creams like Nair have been around for a long time, but they obviously don’t do a perfect job for everyone that tries them or there wouldn’t be much of a market for razor blades, it would just be something that everyone used and took for granted. So what makes one person a good candidate for creams and lotions like these, and another person not? When dealing with matters of the skin and hair, it’s nearly impossible to find a one-size-fits-all solution.”Final Nair Review“Because Nair gets such spotty reviews, we can’t say that it will definitely work for you. It’s pretty much a coin flip and if everything lines up you might love it, but if you don’t have the right skin type, or hair type, you probably won’t like it very much. Be sure to do your best to get the right product for what it is you need done. They’ve broken things down into several different areas of the body, so if your upper lip is bugging you, make sure you get their upper lip product, and don’t try to use a lotion meant for the legs on this area.”Our Recommendation“We recommend one of the better hair removal products out there, the Silk’n SensEpil. Yes, it’s far more expensive than a single bottle of Nair, but it is designed to permanently remove your hair from the comfort of home, so eventually you won’t have to buy any more hair removal products at all.”

PLEASE HELP! I tried using Veet (hair removal cream) on my pubic area?! Gone terribly wrong!?

Okay so I used Veet (the hair removal cream) in attempts to shave my pubic hair and it worked, except now I have intense buring down there after washing it over and over with soap and hot water (could it be the soap irritating it?) and when I pee it burns really bad and I need a solution! I tried just putting a little aveeno down there but nothing is working and I'm freaking out. I can't afford to go to the doctor. So any solutions? Please help!

I used Veet facial hair removal and it burned my skin. I was at a camp so I ignored it and now it turned dark. What can I use to remove it?

Either the burn is due to a sensitivity to Veet or you left it on your skin longer than advised. It’s always prudent to do a patch test prior to using it.I imagine you’ll be experiencing skin irritation, so just keep the area cool, rinse with cold water/use an ice pack. It maybe a good idea to use some antbiotic ointment to prevent infection. Many years ago, when I had an allergic reaction on my face, the dermatologist just told me to keep the area cool, and use an emollient cream. The dark red patch eventually went away, but it did take time.Personally, I’d just go to your local doctor and see if they will recommend any ointment/creams.In future avoid depilatory creams. I'm definitely not a fan!Best,Abi
