Hard Boil Spots On My Ear Lobe

How can a hard lump in the ear lobe be treated?

Hard lumps in the ear lobe can just be a cyst or a zit. If the whole cyst is not removed and the contents are just removed by squeezing it it will just fill up again. If it is stabbed with a needle there is also some chance that infection from skin bacteria could occur leaving you with a big mess. You might need antibiotics and should be seen because the ear is close to bones in your skull which can be affected and your brain. A surgical ENT consult may be necessary depending on where it is. If you need to be treated with a steroid for any other condition the infection may spread. (for example you had an allergic reaction to some substance) The hard lump might even be a tumor for all you know, so get it checked out . Here is an article about acroustic neuromas:Acoustic neuroma - Symptoms and causes

What is this bump on my ear lobe??

Your pinna, which is your external ear, Is flexible tissue except for the cartlidge. The bump on your lobe is nothing to worry about unless it seems to hurt your hearing when you touch it. It just may be a simple white or black head caused due to bacteria or it may be a water bump because of extreme low or high temp. Ummmm or it can be a stress bump which I doubt since its small. Umm you can pick at it but mind you it could possible scare the lobe. Dont worry about it. If it worsens go to the dr.

Lump on my ear lobe, like a giant zit?

It's probably a sebaceous cyst, which is completely harmless. The cyst fills with sebum ( the normal production of the sweat glands). Just the normal accumulation of sebum in the blocked sweat gland can cause it to get larger and harder. It's not dangerous, except for the fact that it can cause some undesirable cosmetic scarring.

If it doesn't go away or starts to leak any type of yellowish/greenish fluid, contact your doctor, as it could be infected. You may also notice a foul smell from the discharge, because obviously anything infected smells bad. Try not to mess with it, and DO NOT pop it. That will only make it worse. Icing may help with the discomfort, but you should try warm compresses. This will help reduce the redness, swelling, and pain.

What is this weird lump in my earlobe piercing? I have had these piercings for over half a year, it doesn't hurt, just feels weird. What is it?

Sounds like a keloid, a build-up of scar tissue at the piercing site

Why does my earlobe smell?

Is it just your earlobes that smell and that you are sure you have no signs of infections on your lobes?Do you get the smell when you rub your piercings with two fingers are you then put your fingers to your nose? If there is no overt signs of infections. No pain. No redness. If your lobes are not hard and hot to touch... then what you are smelling is the sebum produced by the lobes around the piercing. Normally the sebum that your skin (sebacious  glands in ur skin) produce is spread out and you are not conscious  of it. (You do not  rub your skin and smell urself under normal circumstances). Sebum is one of the frontline defence mechanism of skin. It is important. When there is a piercing, the sebum secreted by the glands is distributed and slowly enters the piercing where it is nice and warm. And thisbspace is often colonised by more than usual number of skin bacteria. This sebum occupies the space  that has been created by the piercing.  Even when we wear earrings, if we wear same pair for long period of time, when it is time to change/ clean the earrings, we will notice this sebum film on the pin part of the earring. If uninfected and not copious the little bit of sebum in your piercings is normal. My advice will be to clean twh lobules with a clean moist cloth or a baby wipe  once or twice a week. And do not worry abt the smell.. no one else will be able to smell the tiny bit of sebum in ur lobules.

Pimple or cyst on earlobe?

ok so last year in like august i got my ears pierced for the second time and i cleaned it just like i did last time and everything was ok until one day i woke up and like right under the hole of where the ear piercing was there was like a huge bump it was hard and didn't really hurt that much to touch so i went to go look in the mirror and it was big and mostly red with like a yellow head so i left it alone for like a day and i had to go out so i wasnt gonna go out with a big ugly *** bump on my earlobe with a yellow head so i went in the bathroom rubbed it a little and popped it and squeezed all the puss and blood out and except a little swelling for a day my ear was back to normal but now sometimes when i rub the ear i notice like a super small bump it doesn't hurt at all and its like only on the back of my ear is that like scar tissue? or what is that i highly doubt its a keloid and the only reason im asking this question is because i want to go and get my ears re pierced so i can start gauging them.

Itchy, Puss, Lump In my Ear Lobe?

i had that too. it could be you're allergic to your earring. try getting a hypoallergenic one like stainless steel or something.

also, wash it with dial antibacterial soap, it should clear up in a few days.

it may sound gross, but maybe try to squeeze it so some of the junk comes out.

edit:
don't use peroxide or alochol on it, that will also kill the new healthy cells growing in place of the infected ones. it will lengthen the healing time a lot!
good luck.

I have a bump in my earlobe, and its stinky when I try to squeeze it, whats with that?

USE AN ANTI FUNGAL CREAM AND SEE A DOCTOR TO PRESCRIBE SOME ANTI BIOTICS AND POSSIBLY LANCE THE ABYSSES

Ear piercing feels hard, hurts, and is purple?

Well the first thing you need to so is stop using alcohol. It does more than dry out the piercing, it washes away all of the new healing tissue and your body's defenses. You may very well end up with an infection using alcohol. I don't understand what you mean when you say the sea salt solution wasn't doing anything. Your ear wasn't having any problems at that time, so what was it supposed to do? Hurt? The solution you use to clean your piercings shouldn't sting, if it does it's too harsh.

Anyway, There are two possibilities here. You either have an infection, or your ear is just really pissed off because you stretched it. Without seeing the tissue, it's hard to say. Either one could be likely, because you were caring for it improperly, and because you stretched too soon (standard is double the healing period before you stretch. 3 months for the earlobe to heal, and three more months for the tissue to soften and become more pliable).

I recommend you go back to your piercer for advice.
