Hard lump on forehead?
I have had a painless, hard, bone-like lump on my forehead for about a year and half (or at least that s when I noticed it), but am not sure what it is. The skin moves across it so it is not attached to the skin but to my skull. I went to the doctor today and she thought it may be bone, so she ordered a skull x ray which came back showing that the lump was not bone. Now she wants me to get a CT scan to figure out what it is. Anyone experience something similar or have a guess at what it could be?
Large pimple, lump on forehead?
I developed what I thought was a pimple on my forehead 2 days ago. Yesterday it stayed about the same, but today when I got up it was a little bit larger. Today after work it seemed as if it was getting a little larger that was the only time I messed with it was today after work and even then I barely messed with it. Now its 10:30 and it's even bigger it's about the circumference of a dime and is almost but not quite the size of a marble. Its pretty tender and is pretty hard, any ideas? I don't get many pimples usually when I get them they are pretty big so maybe it's a really big pimple I've only had one other one similar to this but this is defiantly the biggest. I hope it's not staph or anything like that it's not an open wound but I know that doesn't matter.

I agree with bmac. I sometimes get thos painful lumps and it hurts if you touch it and sometimes even gives me a headache. Try some acne medication that will dry it up or put toothpaste on it. Toothpaste also drys up pimples. Hope that helps.

You should put some ice on it for a while to get rid of some of the swelling from you trying to pop it. If it is in fact a spot (acne) and not a cyst, then you should drink more water than you normally would during the day and then at night put toothpaste on it (i know that sounds weird, but it works by drying it out). If it is not actually acne. It might be a cyst. In this case, you should go to a doctor and get it checked out, because sometimes they need to be removed.

Are you asking because you have some? If so, go to a dermatologist immediately and get checked! It could be nothing, BUT it could be a form of skin cancer too. There are different kinds of skin cancer, but you don't want to play around with wasting time either. I have had bumps checked out and they have been benign, but better safe than sorry! I got a headache and I have a scar on my forehead right above my right eye from a biking accident I had last summer. It hasn't been acting up at all but it started hurting and I was rubbing it. But literally in a span of 5 minutes it starting swelling and now there's a large lump on my forehead where my scar is. It hurts to touch it and it feels somewhat solid, but I have a bad headache now. And this lump is almost the size of a golf ball! What is it??
