Has Anyone Saw This Great Movie

Has anyone ever seen the movie Sybil? ?

that movie is seriously insane. sally field does an incredible job portraying this woman's sad story. it is a great movie, but you shouldn't watch it unless you enjoy stories about messed people or you are interested in dealing with mental health patients. i watched it whne i was 12 and i freaked out for the next few days. especially the clown scene.

and the entire abuse thing didn't mess me up as much as i expected it to but it was still scary.

my mother had told me about this movie before i actually watched it and she told me to never ever watch it because it will disturb me, but being a little rebel i did and it was as horrifying as my mother had made it out to be.

edit:

the clown scene, that's just what i called it, the part where she is on the date and they go to see the band with the clown masks on and the camera starts doing that annoying "ah i'm a psycho" spin thing. ringing any bells?

and the abuse is terrible when the mother is hanging her by her wrists in the barn.

Has anyone seen the movie "Big Fish"?

I have seen it and bought it. Everyone knows someone (usually grandpa or uncle somebody) who embellishes thier tales. Those individuals always go against the grain of those who "tell all of the facts with none of the flair" (quote from Edward Bloom). I found it very entertaining for one, and for two, it was a nice insight into the struggle of the father/son relationship where the son was so focused on the absurdity of the tales, that he missed the beauty in his father's personality. The ending was the best!

Has anyone seen the movie "Stalking Laura"?

I saw "Stalking Laura" one time on Lifetime a few years ago. It was really good and such a good thriller. I thought Brooke Shields and Richard Thomas were great at playing their roles. The year the movie was made was in 1993. I love movies where one person is stalking the other cuz they have a humongus crush on that person but then die or go 2 jail in the end and the victim lives on. Those types of movies always have great plots.

Has anyone seen that movie 'SherryBaby'?

Yes it was in theatres, but it was not in wide release. It only played in smaller theatres that cater to the independent film crowd. If you don't live in Los Angeles, NY, etc. It probably didn't play at a theatre near you.

Absolutely rent it. She does a great job in it and I'm sure there are many real life mother's out there who unfortunately had circumstances like hers to live through and hopefully overcome... it's pretty hardcore. I would make sure there are no children in the vicinity when you watch it! Enjoy!

Did anyone understand the movie babel?

i saw it yesterday and i didn't really get it. I understood how the everything fit together, but i don't get why its considered such a "great" movie. whats the whole point with the Japanese girl and what happened to the mexican lady's nephew? also why did they repeat the conversation with brad and the little boy at the end? that threw me off.

Has anyone seen the movie "On Golden Pond?"?

I have seen that movie so much that I can remember just about all of it. I just love Katherine Hepburn and Henry and Jane were so good in it too. I would like to have that movie. It I think will be a classic. I don't know how someone could think it was boring, Well I guess in this day of technology and constant images coming at you in second intervals these days even in commercials that it could be boring for some young people. It had so many subplots going on...I thought it was great.
