HELP please! im 19 practically homeless with a baby.?
My parents made me leave, I have a 3 month old child and I'm living in a spare unfinished basement bedroom, In my friends grandparents house, which is for sale. I feel helpless, I just ran out of savings I've been out of work since the month before she was born, I don't know what to do I don't have any money, I dont have a job, I have no one to watch her, so that I can work if I get a job. I feel guilty. I have enough diapers/wipes to last probably the rest of the month, I don't need formula because I'm feeding her. What should I do????
Homeless and pregnant at 20?
Hello, I'm 20 years old and 15 weeks pregnant as of today. I'm in nursing school and I have 6 months to go until graduation but my parents kicked me out a few days ago (they don't even know I'm pregnant either). I currently sleep in my car at night and stay in my boyfriend's house during the day. I don't think I can keep affording school because my parents paid for it, monthly. I'm homeless, pregnant, and confused. Any advice? Is it possible to go through with pregnancy? If my boyfriend tells his dad, he'll get kicked out as well. I don't work and he works at a pizza place. I plan on getting my CNA license at least soon if I can't continue my schooling.... please, any helpful advice would be amazing.
I need help, homeless, moneyless, scared?
Well, I'm 8 1/2 months pregnant, 20, and engaged to my high school sweetheart that I've been with since I was 16. I moved out of my parents house the very day I turned 18. I pay for my own college, my house, all my bills, etc. I am not on any state help, I pay things all on my own. I live in a small town as well, to give you an idea, my graduating class was less than 75 people. The nearest big town is about 20 minutes away. But I'm not lazy. I work very hard. Don't have a glamorous job by any means. I am a server at the one and only sit down restaurant in my town. It is NEVER busy, but I bust my a** to make the best tips I can. I'm on my feet all day, even being this far pregnant. Yes, money gets tight at times, but you do what you have to do. Sometimes you just have to suck it up. Soon I'll be working 40 hrs, have a newborn, and attend college over full time. It can be done, but there's no room to complain or be selfish, or lazy. (not implying that you are) You'll be fine, but you can't sit around. You need to be proactive. Get out there and find whatever it is that you can, even if its flipping burgers at a McDonald's, its something :) best of luck
What Do You Do When Your Pregnant, Jobless, and Homeless?
As of right now I am 19 years of age and I will be turning 20 in Aug. My baby is due in September. As of right now I have no job, no home, and no transportation. WIC, as for the qualifications of proof of pregnancy, a pay stub, and also a bill that shows where I permitting live. I dont have my own place, I do not live with my parents I do not have any contact with them. How can I get wic with out the main TWO qualifications? And what can I do for a home or anything in this matter. I looked into the welfare, and the section 8 homes and yea you only hace to pay 30% but i dont even have the money to pay from my own food at this matter i been pawing my things to even get that. I need to know what can I do, so I can be healthy for my child. Also the father of my child, has an on call job. But they only call well never. He is a college graduate and he cannot find one DESCENT job. If he cannot get a job how in the world can a reg. high school graduate get one. I truly do need help at this time I am skinny enough and I am worried about the health of my child.
Pregnant nearly homeless?
im pregnant with only 9 weeks to go and i soon will be homeless as my mother is moving away to liverpool. She has 10 kids n when she moves ther wont be room for me to go and i want to stay behind as i want to start my own life with my baby and boyfriend im just having trouble finding somewher to live. The council keep sending me away with my forms telling me i havent got enuff id for the people in my home... but thers no otha way i can get a place... if anyone has any ideas as in sites i can look at or any advice on what to do or to find a place to stay please let me no. i dont want to end up in a hostle with a baby its not a nice place to be. thanks kerry
If a single mother is homeless what can she do ?
This is in response to what everyone has said so far..... My daughters father is not her life because he is abusive in many ways, three to be exact. I don't have a boyfriend... I don't get child support because I don't want him to have levrige after paternity is eztablushed to fight for custody. I do not feel comfortable living in a shelter, I don't want my baby getting taken from me and my job at the convienant store starting out makes more than minimum wage , and I've gotten one raise. I am going to take the advice of low income government hoysing though. Its a start. Thank you everyone and to the arragont prick, how dare you tell me to die in a hole.... have you guys tried welfare programs, i don't know where you at but there has to be some kind of social services in your area that would give hotel vouchers. especially since your girlfriend is pregnant, there also should be some welfare to work programs, i can't believe the best thing people could come up with is oh get a job. like it's always that easy
I'm a single mother i'm homeless and i'm tired of staying in homeless shelters with my daughter?
Go to your local welfare office. I know here they pay for child care so you can work. Also check around your area for low income apartments not section 8. These are places that charge you rent according to your income. My mom has a friend who lives in one of these and she only pays 60 a month rent for a 1 bedroom. Also check your area for shelters just for women and their children. Go to your local welfare office and tell them you will be sleeping on their floor. I know someone who went to the welfare office and told one of the workers she would be following her home for dinner because she had no food and they got her some food stamps that same day. Also where is the father he should be paying support.
