My hair is dry and nasty!!! Help and advice needed!!?

My hair has always been the poofy type, and quite thick as well. A few years ago i died my hair a brownish color that resulted in making my hair feel not as soft as it used to be. Even so, it wasn't a big problem to me since it still felt nice and healthy.

After I started to flat iron my hair it started to get worse and more corrupted. I use heat protectant spray, but it doesn't help as much.

In conclusion, my hair now feels like those fake wigs you wear for halloween. Its just so dry and straw-like. How do i make my hair soft again??

"Smelly hair syndrome", need help and advice?

When you shampoo your hair, make sure you're really getting your scalp. If you have to, do it twice. I used to have your problem and what my sister told me was to scratch at my scalp even when it hurts to make sure I'm really getting rid of the yucky bits. When you condition. Only do the tips, avoid the scalp area. Make sure you wash your hair out properly and not to use really hot water. Try not to sleep with wet hair either, it creates dandruff - blow drying is fine. Avoid always straightening/curling your hair too.

A shampoo and conditioner I used, but dont need to use so much anymore that helped is this brand called "Redken - Real Control". It's a bit more price-y than your average shampoos, but if you use it and use it well, you'll find that you can probably go up to 3 days without NEEDING to wash your hair.

I wish you a lot of luck, I really hope that I helped out. I'd love to know whether this also worked for you!

(( by the way i have dark brown hair that's a little under my shoulders and i love straightening it =) ))

And just one more thing

Need advice on trimming body hair?

I have dark hair around my nipples but very little hair on my chest. Maybe only like 10 or 15 hairs. Should I get rid of the nipple hair or just trim it shorter? Also, should guys trim their armpits?
Also, I want to trim my pubic hair but don't know how short to go. My thighs or pretty hairy. Should I trim my pubic hair to the same length as my thighs or should the pubic hair be longer is does it matter. Also, should I just trim my scrotum hair as short as I can?

Please help! Need curly/damaged hair advice!!!!!!!!! B?

I'm 15, I flat iron my hair every week and have died it in the past many times. I plan on not dying it anymore though. My natural hair is curly and it is veryyyyy thick. When I wash it my hair falls out ALOT now and doesn't curl like it use too. I'm puertorican so yeah.
I really want to be natrual now because I'm worried.
I plan on not applying heat till April 18 the day before my birthday.

Is there anything I can do to restore my natrual curls? What are good drugstore products for curly hair? And one major question .. Over time will my natural curls get tighter? I want them too.

Splat hair dye advice, please help?

-Splat works wonderful! As long as you do it right.
-I would suggest Splat.
-Streaking your hair I can't help with, I've never done that. But for dip dye (Ombre) I can give you tips.
•Wash and DRY your hair.
•Split your hair into two(2) equal parts and bring them over your shoulders.
•Comb out all tangles.
•Braid the two parts, leaving how ever much you want dyed at the end. Secure it with a hairtie TIGHTLY.
•Follow the bleaching instructions on the box if needed and DRY the hair.
•Follow the dye instructions on the box and then dry it and take out the hair ties!
Hope this helps

I need hair advice for EXTREMELY UGLY curly hair?

My hair was really dry and frizzy after years of using ceramic straighteners, it looked so bad I ended up hacking off half of it in despair. I thought it was hopeless until I found out about IHR permanent hair straightening
http://www.colournation.com/modules/smar...
(I'm from London but I'm sure they have similar wherever you are from)
It is different from normal chemical straightening as they rehydrate your hair and it is permanent.
I got it done last june and it changed my life - I had silky straight perfect hair everyday without even blowdrying. Its been nearly a year now and my hair is still nice and straight but I will go back and get the regrowth done some time this summer.
Beware of hair straighteners - they have ruined my hair and the hair of lots of my friends. They may make your hair look great for a few months but each time you use them you're frying your hair so it just gets more and more frizzy and dry. They also weaken the hair so much that it snaps off so you end up with thin hair. Its best to save them for special occasions ( I have only used mine about 5 time since I had my hair done).
