Help Need For Startup Business

Where can I find startups or small business that need help with their web or app design/development?

That's a great question! As a startup founder I struggled to find developers like you who want to jump in on a startup. So we pivoted to create a company that connects student developers to entrepreneurs with early stage ventures that need technical help (most projects are web and app development). check it out at VentureStorm. It's completely free to sign up and join projects as a developer. Feel free to DM me or comment below if you have questions. Hope it helps!

How do you write a business plan for a startup?

I wrote a business plan but I'm somewhat unsure whether it confirms to the accepted standards to go in front of a VC or a SBA-approved bank. Could you please show me how to write a business plan through a website, or give me some pointers from personal experience? Thank you in advance.

Do I need an accountant for my startup business?

Accountants help management make business decisions; they compile financial statements like income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows; assist with tax returns; and enter more complex journal entries. If accounting is in your skillset, you may not need to hire help immediately. However, if you’re having some of the issues we describe below, it may be time to bring an accountant on.The information your bookkeeper provides isn’t enough to help you make decisions about your businessYou are growing quickly and making a lot of money, but still having having trouble paying your rentYou’re entering your busiest time of year and need someone to actively manage your cash flowTax season comes around and you need someone to prepare and file your taxesYou’re thinking of making big purchases and want to know the tax implicationsIf you’re concerned about cost, we would definitely recommend recommend outsourcing at first. You won’t be weighed down by a full-time salary/benefits, which can be tough for a startup. For a little bit more info on when and why you should hire an accountant, check out this post on my company blog: Does My Business Need an Accountant?

How do I get help with advertising for a startup business?

Hi there, I am a undergraduate university student and am interested in starting a small business. I am almost done finalizing my product, and will be launching the product in a few months. However, I really need people to help me with advertising, especially on social media. I need people that can help me at least once a week.

I am an advertising major, and was considering asking the advertising department at my school if any students would be interested in helping me, but I am not sure how I can compensate them for the time they help me because I don't have the expenses to pay them per hour. I don't think anybody would give up their time to help someone advertise for free. If the product becomes sucessful, then of course I can pay per hour, but for now I just don't have the expenses to.

Any suggestions and advice on what I should do to receive the help I need?

Thank you so much!

Small business loans/startup money?

How does one go about getting a small business loan or grant for startup money for a business? I guess I also need to add that this is for a tattoo shop, not sure if that makes a difference. No credit has been established yet, but you have to start somewhere!

Business ideas low cost startup?

The best home business that you can be sure is not a scam is one that you start yourself. It will depend on what you want, how you define to be interesting. A person may consider a pet sitting business to be the most exciting work in the world, while another person would rather watch TV than take care of dogs.

The key is to determine what your interests are, what you want to do, what is suitable for your lifestyle and your overall goals, and what can fit with your resources.

Dan Ramsey in his book "101 Best Home Businesses" has a chapter on how to find YOUR best home business. He suggests these 10 steps:

1. List 5 things you do best
2. List how others would benefit from what you do best
3. Find out how to give people what they want
4. Learn the value of your services to others
5. Find out who else offers similar services
6. Learn from the successes of others
7. Learn from the failures of others
8. Plan your own success
9. Make low cost mistakes
10. Enjoy what you do and how you do it

He then made suggestions on the best home businesses according to type. Here are a few of them:

Best Businesses Using Craft or Physical Skills
- antique restoration
- auto detail service
- carpet cleaning business
- errand/delivery service
- housecleaning business

Best Service Businesses
- bed and breakfast operator
- caregiver
- catering service
- senior day care center
- tutoring service

Best Professional Businesses
- desktop publisher
- magazine writer
- import/export service
- income tax preparation service
- event planner

Business Finance Question - need help!?

Delta Company has some very exciting prospects in the near future. As a result, it is expected to grow at a rate of 20% for the next year. After that, it will grow at a 7% indefinitely. The interest rate is currently 14% and Delta paid a dividend of $2.60 recently. What should Delta sell for today?

I know I have to use the Two-Stage Growth model, but I don't think I'm doing it right since the answer I'm coming to ($42.86) is not one of the answers on my test.

Help please!!
