What to put on resume if I have no work experience?
Well I have helped plenty of people find work with no experience. 1. You probably do have experience, such as clubs, activities, volunteer work and maybe even some part-time (baby sitting, mowing lawns, anything is ok). If you don't, go out and get some now. Volunteer. 2. You also have your career goals. What you want to be. This is what all young people have. Not experience, but you have the desire to learn and do something. 3. Your presonal qualities. Are you friendly,outgoing, do you have the ability concentrate, do you like solving problems, being creative, etc etc. You actually have a lot, I wish someone had taught me this when I first applied for jobs. Career counselors who tell you to write "ooh, I don't have experience" are stupid. The employer can see that, and it annoys them. Don't tell them what you don't have, tell them what you do have and what you would like to have in the future. To give you an example, we were interviewing a guy for a customer computer support job. He told he wanted to the job. THen the last question we asked him was "what do you want for you future" He replied "Oh, I don't like dealing customers, I want to just work with setting up computers." Obviously he didn't get the job because he future dreams didin't line with this work.
How to write a resume with no work experience?
You don't have to write those things, what matter is you stick with relevant specification that your employer is looking for. You have to keep your resume relevant. If you don't have experience, state something about your skills that reflect your employer's qualification. Say something about your personality that could help your employer too. Stay away from I and me pronoun and use action words once.
Making a resume with no job experience?
I am 17 years old. I have not had a job before, thus, I don't have job "experience". I went to my local museum today, and asked if they are hiring. They said that I need to bring in a resume. What is the structure of a resume for a person with no prior job experience? Do I just list the schools I have attended, and my skills? Please help! Thank you
Writing a resume with NO experience! Help!?
I just started my first job hunt, and I have a problem... I have absolutely no work/volunteer experience! >_< How am I supposed to write a resume when I don't have any experience?! I've never spent a summer working at a 'family business' and I haven't had any volunteer opportunities because I'm home-schooled. My local Pizza Hut and Taco Bells are hiring and I started to apply online, but both applications required a resume. I know I'd work hard and at a fast pace, even without the experience... Does anyone have any suggestions for what I should do regarding a resume? I'm desperately in need of job!
