MATH HELP! Due tomorrow! Im Stuck!?

Presuming:
(3/x) + 2 and (2/x) - 2

Subtract one from the other.
3/x + 2 - 2/x + 2 = 1/x + 4 (where, of course, x isn't zero)

Make sense?

If it's 3/(x+2) and 2/(x-2), you have to multiply the first by x-2/x-2, and the second by x+2/x+2

That gives you 3(x-2)/(x^2-4) and 2(x+2)/(x^2-4)

Now, subtract one from the other, you get
[(3x-6) - (2x+4) / (x^2-4) = (x-10)/(x^2-4)

where, of course, x isn't 2 or -2.

Actually, probably ought to be |(x-10)/(x^2-4)| since we don't know whether x is positive or negative.

MATH HOMEWORK DUE TOMORROW! ANY HELP?!?

Alright, i have soooo much homework! im stressing out, and i have 2 math problems i cant figure out! im going to be doing my other homework while waiting for help on here. anyways, here's the problems!

1. A Rectangle's perimeter is 46cm. Write and algebra equation if the base is 5cm more than the hight.

2.Suzanne has a bit of money. Jean has 2 times as much as her. Denis has 20$ more than Jean and Suzanne together. They have 110$ in total. Write an algebra equation and resolve it.

Note!!!!!! :
in class the equations we are doing look liek this : 2x + 8 = 7x - 27 and we have to find the value of x . so that's what my equation has to look like i believe. Also, the translation of the questions might be bad, because i used the important info and im in french immersion.

Please help with math problems! due tomorrow?

Ok. We need to find out the values of the 5s. Values are like tens, ones, and hundreds. For example, 555 would be 500+50+5 in which the 5 in the tens place's value in 50.

The value of 5 in 56= 50+6
Value=50

The value of 5 in 90.35= 90+.30+.05
Value+.05

Now, how do you get from .05 to 50? Well, you could always divide 50 by .05.

What do you get? 1,000.

1,000 times= Answer

*NOTE*- Please check whether I made a mistake!

Plz Help with my math homework! ITS DUE TOMORROW!!!!!!!?

Hi. First, you are going to assign your variables.

Full-grown giraffe: 6x
Lion: x
Cheetah: .25x

Now, add them all together, and set them equal to 450 kg.

6x + x + .25x = 450

Now, add like terms and find x.

7.25x/7.25 = 450/7.25

x is approximately 62 kg.

Check it by plugging in 62 for each x.

6(62) + 62 + .25(62)
372 + 62 + 15.5 = 499.5

Full-grown giraffe: 372 kg
Full-grown lion: 62 kg
Full-grown cheetah: 15.5 kg

Hope this helps!

Really :)) Have you ever heard of the word "calculator"?

You could try one of these:

http://www.calculator.com/calcs/calc_sci...

http://www.motionnet.com/calculator/

:D Sorry I didn't want to be sarcastic but this "question" made me laugh... You could try to do the exercise yourself, it's easy. That's what I was doing at school 4 years ago...and now I'm 15 years old.

Math homerwork help plz....due tomorrow...grade 9?

You disect the problem into equations. Say your one-way trip distance is y. You know that you travelled the same distance both ways. On the way there it took you T1 hours. On the way back T2 hours.

So...

400 km/h * T1 = y
500 km/h * T2 = y

This means 400 km/h*T1 = 500 km/h*T2
Divide both sides by 400 km/h, you get

T1 = (500/400)* T2 -- call this equation 1

Also,

T1 + T2 = 9 h -- call this equation 2

Substitute the T1 from equation 1 into equation 2

(500/400)*T2 +T2 = 9h

or

(5/4 +1)*T2 = 9h

T2 = 9h/(5/4 +1)
T2 = 4 h

Subsitute that into the second equation at the top 500 km/h * T2 = y
You get y = 2000 km

The total trip there and back, is therefore 4000 km.
