How do I delete all my emails in my inbox at one time? I have over 1000?
All At Once???? The only way is if you switched to "All New Mail". It has a continuous mail page which allows you to delete en mass. Click on FROM (which checks them all) then click on DELETE...either on your email page or keyboard. You can switch back to Classic mail afterward. If there are some emails you want to save just go down the list and click on the check mark to remove it before clicking on DELETE. You can switch to ALL NEW MAIL from MAIL CLASSIC by clicking on ALL NEW MAIL at the top of your email page or click on options. One of the options is to return to All New Mail. Otherwise, with Classic, it's page by page. BUT----you can speed it up by changing the "messages per page" to 200 instead of 25. That makes it 8 times faster, with 200 at a time. On your email page click on options (top right) then MAIL OPTIONS.. GENERAL will be displayed if you now have the new format.. Now, go down to *Folders/Search Results* and change the number in the box to 200--by clicking on the down arrow to bring up the 200 option to set the number while you scroll to the bottom of the page to click "save". If you have the new format there is no SAVE to click on...

It will work for the Basic version, but only for one page at a time. =============================== Placing the check mark in the empty box above your inbox emails on the left side USUALLY places a check mark to the left of all of your emails in your inbox. Click on DELETE when done. If you want to save any of them click on the check mark to the left of that email to remove the check mark prior to clicking on the DELETE button. On occasion it does not always place a check mark in all of the boxes to left of the email.......... especially in a folder other than the Inbox........... sometimes it is 25, some times 50 or more. You can click on empty folder for a mass delete. But, i do understand your frustration with the junkmail. I have set up my hotmail to only allow emails to my inbox from allowed contacts. All other email goes to my junk file automatically. The problem with that however is, if one of your allowed/contacts changes their email address and doesn't tell you, they automatically go to your junk folder. if you find a contact in your junk after that, you can click on it and allow further emails to go to your inbox. I do review my junk however, about every 5 days, take a quick look and tick pretty much everything, do a mass empty folder delete. I click all the mail that is junk (almost 100% usually) so that when the pop up from hotmail appears it says "help report junk, tick all mail that you know is junk and hotmail can hopefully stop it from coming back"(basically) I do that and a lot of emails from these junk emailer outlets have discontinued. Good luck, bloody annoying they are.

For messages in a sequence (an entire block of emails), press the Shift key and click the first and last message. To select random (un-grouped) messages, click in the check-box beside each message. Then either press Delete on your keyboard or click Delete in Mail.
