My English teacher takes forever to grade assignments,?
and I had a missing assignment that I turned in last week and it still hasn't been graded. It is a two part essay assignment, and I would like to get them turned in before winter break starts (tomorrow is last day) does emailing this to her sound obnoxious? "Hi Mrs. Whitten, I turned in part one of an essay, I would appreciate it if you could grade it before winter break, because I would like to get part two submitted before the break, so I can enjoy the break and not worry about my low grades and missing assignments. Thank you very much smile -Megan" I obviously want her to like me so she doesn't give me a low grade because she thinks I'm obnoxious. I have had teachers do this. (I don't know if this matters but I go to an online high school, so I can't talk to her face to face.) My grades are low, and it is waaay to close to the end of the semester for me to have this low of a grade.

AP US HISTORY IN 9TH GRADE?
Hi, I would ask your current social studies teacher or history teacher of what he thinks you should because he knows you more than we at Yahoo Community do. However, if you feel as if you can handle it, you should take it. AP U.S History is very difficult but at the same time easy if you study well, take good notes, review your notes accurately, remember different times, and remembering names if you have good memory. I'm currently in AP U.S History and I was in the exact same position you were in 8th grade. I decided to take it and I'm managing a 97% average in U.S History which is good. However, if history is not your subject, then I wouldn't advise taking it. It's better to take things slower pace than to rush and have loaded more assignments. High School is difficult, you won't always have a 4.0 GPA since middle school and high school are different and high school is harder, so don't stress yourself over it. If you wanna go to a good school, maintain at least a B average or above. Most students strive for a 4.0 GPA and they complain that the courses are difficult and they start going down hill on their grades and that's not good so always be positive. The assignments very from teacher by teacher to be quite honest. If you have a difficult U.S History teacher, she/he will assign you a ton of book work, and give you assignments and expect it to be completed on time. The assignments are difficult if you don't study or don't pay attention in class. You can always look information from different sources and make sure their up to date and accurate. Also, the length of the assignments vary from teachers as well as they may assign you 5 pages of homework, and some 1-2 pages. I spend about 30 minutes - 60 minutes [1 hour] a day studying as I have a difficult teacher and her tests/quizzes/exams make you think critically. The homework may include: worksheets, book work such as finding information and key factors and answering questions, or just putting things in the correct order. (Again, it varies from teacher to teacher). If you still don't know if you should take it, ask your guidance counselor to see your progress and your teacher/instructor.

So you should have to study normal oxford books(grammar with translation).Also,the formal study of grammar is an important part of education for children from a young age through advanced learning, though the rules taught in schools are not a "grammar" in the sense most linguists use the term, particularly as they are often prescriptive rather than descriptive.You should also study the WORK BOOK as this is very important & recommended by the CBSE.hope it helps.

Hi, in english we have to make a thesis statement & arguement essay about if the pigs or wolf was guilty in the 3 littles pigs & the big bad wolf story. I said I believe the wolf is not guilty because it is his natural animal instincts to eat to survive, but what are two other good evidence? How or what should my thesis statement be to be good? Help?
Will a zero hurt my grade badly?
It will depend on how many projects/essays you had this year. If you had a total of 5 then 4% of your grade will be effected bringing you down to a 90%. If you only had 3 then it would be about 7% which if you get all 100%'s on everything else this year will still bring you down to an 87%. Also you have to take into consideration that your class participation may also be affected by this because if you didn't do your project and you were supposed to present it to the class, then that area might go down as well. It depends on how your teacher grades. If you are worried, talk to your teacher and see if you can do some extra credit, or turn the project in late, but expect points to be deducted, too. Sounds like you are doing great in school, keep it up!!! Even though the school year is almost over, don't back off now because everything you worked so hard for this year can go down the tubes really fast. Take care!
