Hifonics Amp Or Rockford Amp

Hifonics amp or rockford amp?

Im looking to buy a new amp for my l7s. I was looking at the hifonics brx 2000.1 and rockford prime 1200.1. Ive seen when steve meade tested the same rockford amp but the 750 model and it exceeded the rated rms by almost 450 watts. Anybody have experience with these two amps before any refrences with other amps I should look at?

Hifonics vs kicker amps????

i have 6 kicker l7 12 subs and now i need 3 amps i was thinking of going with 3 kicker amps there like 480 a peace but to cut cost i was thinking of going with hifonics amps there 300 a peace and it has more watts my question is y is the amp so cheap everyone is saying its as good as kicker witch i dont think it is and if it is y is it at cheap stores like anderson's a hardwere store that carries trash audioi jast wanna no what u think i just don't want to buy it and its trash CUZZ U GET WHAT U PAY FOR?

Rockford Fosgate VS Hifonics?

Rockford Fosgate R1200.1D vs Hifonics BRX1200.1D? Both put out roughly the same power, both will be able to power my Alpine Type S subs. I already have the Hifonics, but I was thinking on upgrading to the rockford for efficiency reasons. I need an amp to be as efficient as possible because im running two amps, one a two channel for my components and the 1200 watt bass amp. Is it worth upgrading from the hifonics to the rockford with the price gap? Or should I just stick with my hifonics amp?

Are Hifonics Brutus amps comparable to Rockford Fosgate Punch amps?

hifonics is the better amp watts per dollar

Old School HiFonics Amps ?

ALL OPINIONS ARE WELCOME:

I've always been an Orion fan(old school, prior to DEI buyout)... I'm an HCCA Fanatic !!! But a friend of mines was/is

an old school HiFonics fan; so not long ago I decided to step over to the "dark side" and try one out, just a try out.

I've yet to install them;mainly because I wanted some opinions on their performance First... ALL INPUT IS WELCOME.

I want as much input as possible because I can't find any info on these amps:

HiFonics Taurus X (4x50, 1ohm stable) AND HiFonics Centurion X (2x100, 1ohm stable)

Both are from the "American Warrior Series"

I've Googled till my eyes hurt... seriously my eyes were hurting and I can only find small scraps of info.

Does anyone have any experience with these? Any "war-stories"? Anyone has or had any friends using these? Know any "specs"?

I just want to get all of the info and opinions that I can. Then if the comments are positive, I may move forward with an install... if

negative, I guess I'll add them to my amp collection AND HIDE THEM UNDER MY ORIONS

What is the best Rockford Fosgate amp to go with two 10” 1200 watt Rockford Fosgate speakers?

Well, you don't need that much wattage. Realize that these specs are overblown. Specs for auto is always overstated. It is usually stated in terms of peak power, which only lasts a few millisecinds.A Rockford Fosgate amp that produces 100 or 200 watts will be enough.

Old school Rockford fosgate amp vs new school Rockford amp.?

I've heard that some of the Old School Rockford Fosgate Amps were underrated (don't know if that's true) meaning they do more then they were advertised for.

Go for the Hifonics Amp. Since most Hifonics Amps have a 4 way Protection Circuit they are the safest alternative.

From there on its your choice, the new RF tech seems interesting, but then again its what you prefer.

Whats a better amp? kenwood, poweracoustik, alpine, or hifonics?

I have heard pretty much every amp you put down and have seen how they can push subs. Don't go with Kenwood. Alpine is ok but again very pricey. Hifonics and power acoustik are outstanding though. Get either the Hifonics or the Power Acoustik TS1920-2. The power acoustik produces great sound and signal. Power acoustik TS1920-2 is a really, really good amp and will push your subs with ease and will make them sound incedible. And for Rockford Fosgate, you would pay about 3 to 4 times as much for the same power you get from the hifonics and power acoustik amps, its not worth it to go with rosckfords, unless all you want is the name. They are good amps, dont get me wrong, but I very much suggest the Power Acoustik TS1920 amp. It makes anything sound good.

Hifonics amps. Something isn't right?

I have 2 12" Rockford Fosgate P3's (most recent model), in the manufacturer ported box made by Rockford. They can handle 1200 W RMS @ 1 ohm. I was running them off of my Hifonics Zrx 1000.1D amp, which is CEA compliant, and claims to do 1000W RMS at 1 Ohm(which is what my subs are wired to). This amp barely pushed the subs. I had the gain set to 2 volts, which is what my head unit puts out, and I wasn't going to turn it up even more and send a clipped signal. My friend hooked my P3's up to his Hifonics Zrx 1800.1D, which is the same model, except it claims to do 1800W RMS at 1 ohm. So I thought SURELY it would be enough power...well, the amp pushed them, but with the gain turned up quite a bit. Granted, I was happy to see them hitting at their potential...but that amp should be doing 1800W RMS @ 1 ohm. And it was probably doing around 1200. Both of our wiring is ran great, with very high quality 4 gauge wire. The Zrx 1800.1D recommends 4 gauge wire, and has two 60A fuses. The Hifonics Brz (Brutus) 1600.1D recommends 2 gauge wire, and has two 70A fuses. Something doesn't seem right to me with the Zrx (Zeus) model.
