How do i fix Sero 7 Pro Bricked ?
PLEASE HELP!!! My tablet has been bricked and i will explain.First of all i rooted my device with CWM and then i read on a blog about being able to change the pixel density and so i download it and i remember when i first launch the app it says warning "Do at your own risk" and so i change the ppi from "216" to about 320 ppi, yeah thats!!!And since i have titanium backup installed it says "the device needs to reboot in order for changes to take effect"and i press allow. So i reboot the device and then wait for it to turn on, and no chance to turning on. So i try pressing the POWER BUTTON + Both (+) (-) and says "Updating... Please do not press any keys!" and then back on the black screen, i assume its still on because its lit on the black screen, but does not want to function, but don't no why.Its obviously bricked and when i go to recovery mode by pressing POWER BUTTON + VOLUME (-) and when i was on that screen i wiped the User data and the Cache Partition and wiped the Dalvik cache, and then Press "Reboot System" and goes to the black screen. Fastboot does not work, but instead gets stuck on the green words "FASTBOOT",only Recovery mode works.I know for fastboot it is POWER BUTTON + VOLUME (+) . I'm stuck, i've used nexus 7 ToolKit, even if its for nexus 7 i tried because i'm eager to get the tablet unbrick.It almost worked for me but not well good with that program, Im not even sure if Nexus 7 ToolKit functions with Sero 7 Pro. But maybe you can answer that. I don't know how to download adb, i think it has to do something with the Path system variable, now i've caused another problem. WTF!!! I backspaced the path variable and now its empty, is there any way to bring it back to the original "Path" or replace it for another Path variable. Anyways,i tried DPI changer and it changes the density back to the current ppi "216". Does not recognize the device.So that does'ent work.And now the only thing i havent tried is inserting the following " >su #mount -o rw,remount /system #chmod 644 /system/build " in ABD,but dont have abd.PLEASE GIVE ME ANY SUGGESTIONS TO WHAT I CAN DO!!! BUT NOT "WHAT I CANT DO". Also is there any place i can take the tablet to repair in.
Should i stick with the Hisense Sero 7 Pro or get the nexus 7 2?
Should i get the nexus 7 2 coming next month in july or stick the hisense sero 7 pro in walmart,Btw exclusive to walmart.The walmart meets its expectations over a average tablet.Has a 1280 x 800 display and a Tegra 3 Quad-Core processor with a micro sd card to add pictures and movies,ect.With the latest android os (4.2).And some other features includes nfc and gps built in. 5 mp rear camera and a 1.3 mp in front. 1.3 ghz and 1gb ram.Its a little better then then the current nexus 7 becuase has the same features with a expandable memory and a rear camera with 1 ghz more then the nexus 7.The only weakness the sero 7 pro is the lack of battery time.I think 4 or 5 hours.Ive heard the main base price should be for $229 for the 16gb,will be announced in july and is rumored to have a snapdragon 600(faster then the tegra 3 processor) and will have a rear camera and will have a higher display and have the capability to expand the memory up to 32gb or 64gb. When is the nexus 7 2 going to be announced?
I'm on the same boat as you. Lucky for me, I'm waiting until December either way- so I have the patience necessary to deal with this. As for your question, over 4 million Nexus 7 devices have been sold and I doubt even Google expected that kind of response with their very first Nexus tablet. Doesn't it seem odd that it's smaller brother, the Nexus 4(GEN 2) and bigger brother, Nexus 10(GEN 2) haven't been announced either? I think Google is going all-NEXUS and are probably going to host an entire event just for their 3 flagship devices. I say wait for the Nexus 7 2nd Gen since Google is likely to announce the new N7 before the end of July. That means don't go with the Asus Memopad HD 7 yet. Nexus also gets updates faster and is built to handle everything that the Play Store has to offer!
Whats Walmarts return policy on memory sticks?
Hi I'm so aggravated right now. I purchased a 16GB memory stick from Walmart and it stopped working the next day when I needed to use it to back up my work witch now I cant back up my work. I had some photos on the memory stick to witch I can't access as the memory stick has gone bad. It will not copy files and it will not format either. I feel very strongly about making a complaint to walmart now since I've had a very stressful 3 hours trying to copy a 24MB file onto a 16GB memory stick witch took 3 freaking hours to copy a file and then stopped working :( not only that I've wasted my time and money on that made in china piece of crap but its going to cost me gas money now to go back to walmart and find out if I can exchange it for another one, but this time I want a different brand. If they say they cant take it back or refund me I'm so going public about this to the papers. any help on what to do? Thanks.
Do small cracks in glass (on a tablet) spread by normal use?
I have a small crack IN THE MIDDLE of my Nexus 7, it doesn't touch any ends but it looks too small to fill with super glue. So if I use it normally not dropping or pressing really hard with the cracks spread? Also if you know how big does a crack really have to be to fill with superglue?
