Honey Eye Drops Proof

Can honey eye drops lighten eyes?

Don't listen to the geniuses that answer the question at the top of their head. It actually will lighten your eyes. No eye doctor will tell you it will cuz then how are they gonna make money on colored contacts? I've been doing it for a little over a month in my left eye and I've noticed my eye is a shade lighter than my right. I had no "damage" in my eye from the honey. I actually notice my vision has improved in my left eye compared to my right (I wear correctional lenses). I sterilize some water by boiling it, let that cool to room temp then mix 10ml of honey with 5ml of water, then pour it in an empty eye dropper. I recommend using only local raw honey. The secret is when you mix honey with water, it creates a natural chemical reaction and produces hydrogen peroxide. Not dangerous, but just enough to lighten your eyes. If you wanna lighten your eyes, I say do it. Just do it right.

Honey in eyes? Who has done this?

No, I realize you don't NEED honey, and its not gritty.

Ive actually never seen gritty honey. But I do see where your comming from.

Despite that, this question is geared for people who have actually done it, so I can get their opinion on what happened, and what if felt like etc. NOT what someone THINKS might happen, or would happen.

(i sound pretty bitchy, and i dont mean to, but im really curious)

Is putting organic pure honey mixed with water into your eyes in order to lighten them supposed to sting your eyes a bit? I tried mixing organic pure honey with water and drop 3 drops into my eyes and it stung a little bit. Is this normal?

a couple of reasons why it hurts…Pure honey contains sugar crystals, pollen, and organic acids like oxalic and formic. the sugar crystals will scratch your cornea, the pollen is likely to feel gritty at a microscopic scale, and the organic acids mean that the honey has a ph of anywhere between 3.5 to 6, which of course is quite acidic. For comparison, battery acid is ph 1, vinegar is ph 3, water is ph 7.If you knew anything about the biology of the eye, the colour of the eye is deep inside, the outer layer of the cornea is transparent. All you’re going to do by putting honey in your eye is possibly physically damage your cornea and so damage your eyesight, and create the ideal environment for a fungal or bacterial infection by adding sugar to the warm wet environment of the eye and eyelids. It hurts. That is your body telling you something is wrong. Listen to it.I’m a beekeeper. I love honey and promote it’s benefits, but sticking it in your eye isn’t one of them. I’d never consider honey to be a snake oil medicine, but I’m afraid you’ve now gone and done it.

Does raw honey lighten eye color?

I have pink eye and have been dealing with it for a while despite using prescription antibiotic eye drops for six days. Yesterday I decided to try the raw honey remedy (boiling raw honey & water, waiting for it to cool, then inserting it in my eyes with eye drops). I know it sounds crazy, but raw honey has antibacterial/antiviral properties and acts as a humectant, so it clears the eye of infection while providing soothing relief. It's an ancient remedy and it's actually helped A LOT! But one thing I've noticed is that my eye color is a lot greener than usual. My eyes are naturally hazelish, but when I woke up today they are very green, bright, and reflective. Did the raw honey have anything to do with changing my iris color?

Wearing eye makeup with a cyst in my eyelid, is it okay?

Honey I'm so so sorry to tell you this that you can't and here's proof....
Prevention:
Wash off any eye makeup especially before sleeping
Avoid using makeup such as eyeliner, mascara, and eye shadow when the cyst is present
Do not use contact lenses until the swelling disappears
A gentle eye massage may help reduce swelling and inflammation
Never pop or scratch the cyst in the hope of draining it faster

But ... if I were you I would :) you know why? Because prom is a one-time thing and obviously been living with cysts for months so you have enough infos on what, how, when and why to clean eyelids well, use eye drop to prevent any infections and apply soothing eye gel before sleep. That's all about it. :)
Good luck!
