How Can Get Rid From Smelly Hair

How to get rid of this smell from my hair?

I used the Olive Oil Hair Relaxer Kit, I do not have course hair, my hair is naturally silky but it is very puffy and curly which is why I used this. It was my first time using it and everything but now my hair smells like fish and olive oil.....it s disgusting, and my hair is excessively oily.....I know the oil will go away after a few days of shampooing but this smell, it s so strong and it makes me feel like vomiting. How do I strip my hair of the stench? And the next time I use this is there any way to prevent it?

I need to get rid of smelly hair?

Ok so my hair smells really bad, and I have no idea why. It starts to get smelly when I shower, like when it gets wet. It smells like wet dog and makes me want to puke. I use shampoo and conditioner that smell really good but it doesn't help. I shower every day. Only my ends smell, but my hair is really long so by ends i mean from where my chin is and beyond smells like wet dog and skunkish and burn.

I'm wondering if my hair is just really damaged or something? Would the only solution to this be to cut my hair? I would REALLY REALLY REALLY like to avoid this because I've been growing it out for over a year (with little trims to try to minimize damage)
I use a flat iron on my hair every day... but to curl my hair, lolz I find it much easier to use the straightner than a curling iron.
I also blow dry it every day

I do use heat protectant but I really use as little product as possible (like hairspray and stuff) because i hate the way it makes my hair feel

So it smells fine after a day of airing out
I get in the shower
water makes it smell bad
drying it makes the smell mild
curling makes it the worst thing everrrr and at school it's all i can smell and i cant take it anymore because i feel like everyone else can smell it too

WHAT CAN I DOOO to get rid of this smelllllllllll
body spray and perfume do nothing

the shampoos and conditioners i use are bath and body works, aussi, pantene... and a bunch of others... i change it up all the time lol
please help :(

How do you get rid of smelly hair?

she should wash her hair untill it lathers very well. and then i would wash a couple times after a good lather. i am a cosmotologist.after, i would condition it in the heat of the shower leaving conditioner on for about five minutes while she washes the rest of her body. make sure the water does not touch her hair untill time is up. then rinse well with warm water.after a good rinse, rinse with ice cold water. this will make hair healthy, nice smelling and very shiney. she could,(while hair is still wet) add a little perfume to the hairline, and blow dry, but to keep hair at its healthiest never bone dry it.after all to much heat is realy not good for the hair.....good luck to the sweety.

How do I get rid of curd smell from hair?

Add a few drops of lavender or jasmine or rose or any other good smelling essential oil to your curd hair pack. I prefer lavender, smells heavenly, also aids in hair growth.Alternatively, you can take a few drops of essential oil in your palm, rub your palms together and when your hair is dry, run you hands through your hair. This wont make your hair oily or weigh down.Dont wash your hair with shampoo after applying homemade hair packs to get rid of the smell. That washes away all the goodness of those packs too.Wash your hair with plain water thoroughly, like really thoroughly,it takes away the smell considerably, whats left can be dealt with essential oil. Saying that from experience. I apply egg hair pack every other week. If washing with plain water works with the smell of egg, its definitely going to work with that of curd.

How do you get rid of burnt hair smell from hair.?

nice smelling hair products are not going to help (other than masking the smell, products like herbal esences do not cleanse sufficiently)... what you need (but this is dependant on your daughters age and if your willing to buy good products for her hair) is Redken Extreme Shampoo and Conditioner.. and maybe even the leave in treatments.. these products restore the protein in your hair...

Im really surprised to hear that her hair actually burnt from an iron.. if your reconsidering your iron choice... Chi is the best straightener on the market... its pricey but you wont find a better iron (uses ions and ceramic plates)

How to get rid of smell of hair dye remover ?

Your best bet would probably be lemons. It just the same as lemon juice removing onion smell from your hands, the enzymes in lemon juice break down the stinky stuff. You can buy bottles of lemon juice from concentrate fairly inexpensively from the grocery store. Also, in the future, you might consider simply re-dying your hair if you are unhappy with colour, hair dye remover is really caustic stuff and can seriously damage your hair. And PLEASE be sure that you wait at least a few months before dying your hair again, it can react with dyes and literally break your strands of hair. But for the smell, I'd go with the lemons. Just be sure to dilute the lemon juice with water before applying it to your hair. Hope this helps.

How can I get rid of the burned smell in my hair?

I used a friend's curling iron the other day, and it was really hot, and now my hair smells really burned. I've washed it several times but I can't get rid of it. I don't usually use heating products and I don't plan on using them again soon, but I just need the smell gone. What should I do?

How to get smell of smoke  out of my hair?

Years ago, L'Oréal made this wonderful, light-weight spray that would get the smoke smell out without making your air smell like strong perfume. Since they discontinued it, I've been on the hunt for something similar!1st choice - If you can, follow Andres Copeland's suggestion and wash your hair. 2nd choice - Use Febreeze! I carry a small bottle (you can find them in the trial size section of Target) that I can just spritz on my hair. It helps get rid of the smoke smell and doesn't make me smell like I just covered myself in perfume.3rd choice - Use dryer sheets. This one masks more than removes so I'd use it as a last resort. But, in the winter when static electricity strikes anyway, I tend to run a sheet over my hair to freshen it up!

How can I get rid of all this pet hair?

I have an Alaskan Husky so believe me, I hear you. I have a NEATO robotic vacuum for pet hair. It helps (I have hardwood floors and her white hair looked like it snowed. The very best thing I’ve found is my groomer does a FURMINATOR bath and brush. It’s made for this very reason. It makes a HUGE difference. I had her for years before I found this. I spent my life vacuuming even with the robotic one. It ran once a day but she shed ALL day, lol. It costs more but I have to take her much less often so it breaks even.
