What are the consequences of selling fake objects on eBay?
The most immediate consequence is having to refund the client. The second consequence is having your eBay account revoked. The third consequence is having your Paypal account revoked, not to mention any money you may have in that account frozen for an extended period of time. Finally, you may face legal consequences, especially if you knowingly or had a reasonable expectation (too good to be true supplier ) that the product you were selling was a fake. There are not that many prosecutions that I am aware but the first three consequences are very common, even if there is ZERO proof that you actually sold something fake. The burden of proof is on the seller to show their items are legitimate.
