How Can I Change The Url Of My Blog And Also Improve The Seo

Will removing the ".html" extension from my web/blog pages impact SEO rankings?

If you mean removing .html like in the example of:/blah.htmlbeing changed to:/blahI have launched many websites with the extension removed as well as removing one and replacing it with / to test.  I did not find any advantage/disadvantage for ability to rank them. However, I still personally lean towards making the URL end in an extension or / because back years ago I used to have a problem with writing a URL as www.site.com/blah  Some sites and programs that auto linked would create/import the url as www.site.com and leave "blah" as just text next to the URL.  I may be being old school though as I've not noticed it being a problem in recent years.

What will be the effect of changing my domain of my blogger's website on SEO and the traffic of my website?

Google will consider it as a new website the day you change the domain of your website. Hence, it will have significant impact on traffic in initial days.SEO is one of critical aspect to improve the search ranking. As you didn’t speak about changing the content, there will be minimal impact on Onpage SEO even the domain name is changed. Only important point that needs to be taken care is the URL structure in new domain should be same as old domain. However, google will take its own time to crawl, index any new website and URLs before it ranks them, hence, there will be impact on overall traffic. The most impacted part would be your off page SEO. The links you built for your existing website (or organically some links got built already) will become invalid suddenly the day you change your domain name. You will have to rework on your link building strategy from scratch using new domain and URLs. This is huge effort and will surely impact the traffic also.As a workaround, you can use the redirect option from old domain to new domain for some period of time till your new domain and URLs get crawled, indexed and attract some traffic.

Will a blog page URL ending with .html slow the SEO effort?

You don't have to. The URL is important for SEO, and you do need a clean and optimized URL structure, but the .html does not make any difference. It is the keywords and the length of your URL that impact SEO.However, you should be consistent. If you are using .html, keep that for all your pages. If you remove it, make sure you remove it in all your URLs.

Should I change my Site URL by adding 1 more word for clarity?

The name or URL of a website is often overrated. Don't worry too much about it. Did Amazon.com have books in it? Nope. Does Facebook has social media in it? No.Focus on your brand and create a strong online presence. That's more important. Pay attention to creating high value content and products for your target audience and the rest will fall into place. There is simply no reason to fret about your domain name. Besides, if you end up creating amazingly high quality content, search engines will rank you for the main keyword even if it isn't in the domain name. No matter what. Good luck.

Is changing a slug after publishing a post bad for SEO? What will happen to the old URL?

If you edit existing slug, it would result in broken post. That means, if the search engine has already indexed your old slug or you have shared the post on social media, clicking on those links will result in 404 broken page. To avoid this, you need to take help of 301 redirect feature. Hope this helps.

Is changing your webpage title bad for SEO?

You might have inadvertently also changed your URL. If you are using a Wordpress website changing your page title sometimes also changes the URL. If this has happened your old page is probably showing up as a 404 (no longer available) when google crawls your site. You should check your old URL and if it has fallen off, create a new page with the old title and URL and point it to the new page with a 301 redirect.Hope that helps!Caveat: SEO technology and SERP positions are non-uniform and non-standard. It is never a one size fits all magic bullet and your position may or may not improve as a result of this advice. I also write about this stuff on my blog. Is it beneficial for SEO to end URLs with ".html"?

The answer is Yes, in many cases, you should consider adding .html to the end of your URLs.Here's why.Click thru rates from SERPs are one of the important signals used in rankings. Having .html at the end of a document is still a part of our collective web-psyche as one of the indicators of a trusted, and long-lived resource, and this increases CTRs.Here is the caveat. This relationship breaks down as your URL becomes longer, primarily since the URL displayed in the result will be truncated. If you will have very long URLs, this will not provide any benefit. Also, as a consumer, you would not expect to see .html at the end of a URL if you are expecting an interactive experience. It doesn't matter if the URLs are dynamically rendered, or are static. Having .html at the end of a URL is a valuable consideration.
