No.It does, however, mean that you’re placed into a group with limited access to her profile information (so everyone else in her friend group can see her profile, but you might be in the ‘restricted’ group that is set to only see her profile picture or whatever).The best thing to do is to ask a mutual acquaintance to see your friend’s profile on her computer, and if you can see the full profile, then that confirms it.

How to make facebook profile unavailable to the public?
My facebook profile has public searching turned off, so when it shows the example of what my profile should look like it doesn't show any information. However, when I am actually on my profile and click "view as" it shows all my information. I just want only my friends to be able to see my information and nothing else because my mom keeps googling me and emailing me to say that she can see my information. I am a grown adult and this is really starting to annoy me. Also - Could she possibly see more information because she is a friend of a friend?

I know she didn’t unfriend me, because like I previously mentioned…everything seems to go back to normal after a few hours, maybe one or two days. This has happened to me about 3 or 4 times with the same person, eventually it all goes back to normal.Maybe people make changes to their profile and it takes a while for FB to process it. It is like a glitch, an error. Wait a few hours and maybe her profile will be available for you again.

That's very weird.... The only thing I could come up with is that those people you are looking at, have friends in common with your friends. People can make their profiles completely private, private, completely public, or available for "friends of friends" to see. Completely private- no one can search you, no one can see your profile picture (if they are not friends with you). Only YOU can invite friends, because no one can even find you on facebook. Private- people can search your name, find you, but they cannot go any further than seeing your profile picture and networks you belong to if they are not your friend. They can invite you as well. Completely public- everyone can find you and see every bit of your profile, and even comment on things if they are not your friend. Basically it means every person that has a facebook has friend benefits with your profile. Friends of Friends- Only people who are friends with your friends can see your complete profile, but they cannot comment or post anything to your wall. However, they can see all your pictures, all your information you have on your page, and everything friends have posted. Maybe you do not have mutual friends with these seemingly "public" profiles... Where they are set as "friends of friends" can view it... I hope this all makes sense. If that persons profile is TRULY public, you should be able to see it. Not everyone has a public profile so I don't know how you can tell if a stranger is public or private...
