how low do your income have to be to get food stamps. i really dont need it but when i move out and start paying for my books and apartment with bills. i MAY need to apply. and do they give you garbage food.i really dont know how this works. is it a bad thing to be on foodstamps?im kind of shamed.but my mom was never on food stamps because she REFUSED.I respect that because she had 3 kids with low income and we still were happy.

Actually, many of the claimed "US-born children" of illegal aliens are in fact child-identity theft children. Parents steal US children's identities to obtain food stamps, welfare, & other taxpayer-paid benefits, while they work using the stolen SSN, obtain credit, etc. By some calculations, as many as half of the claimed "US-born" children of illegal alien parents who receive welfare & other benes are in fact identity-theft childen. And why should income guidelines include people not legally present so that they can get more food stamps & benes? Lawbreakers are simply milking citizen-taxpayers dry. BTW, children of illegal aliens have a right to citizenship in their parents' country of citizenship. They are not "US citizens." They are dual nationals with a right to passports from their parents' country, and residence there with their parents. Why should US citizen-taxpayers provide for citizens of another country who are violating US laws? There's plenty of charity and various forms of aid going to so many of these countries. And parents need to take responsibility for their children, and take them home with them.

If you really do need it...then its very easy to get while pregnant and there is no wait, they are pretty fast with getting it to you. I don't know the exact amount you need to earn,but like i said i know it is way easier to get it while you are pregnant. If you get it while you are pregnant it automatically transfers to the baby when they are born.

Who takes food stamps online?
I know there are currently pilot programs going on currently with online SNAP use. For example in 5 locations Walmart is allowing SNAP recipients to order online and then pick up in the store. The only downside of this is that you cannot actually use it on their website when you pick up is when you scan your EBT card. Other sites are also trying this slowly but like I said it is a pilot program so this is not available everywhere, yet.

It should be all said and done within 3 weeks max. You first need to apply (you can go into your local office you may get an interview sooner). After applying you will have to conduct an interview whether it be over the phone or face to face, the interview asks questions such as residency, expenses, income etc. After those questions are asked you will have to provide verifications to prove those answers to the questions. The faster you provide verifications the faster you can get your SNAP. The last part is waiting for case authorization. Different states have different methods some have case workers who work individual cases and some do not. It depends on how many cases are being processed but it won't take longer than 3 weeks. My best suggestion is to stay on top of everything.

yes. they are wanting a used car. and i'd just to point out that not everyone on government assistance is a mooch. my father in law owned a business for many years and broke his back while on the job. they have custody of my sister in laws kids because she was an abusive drug addict. the kids are in a safe environment with a family who love them. my in laws would not need food stamps if they werent taking care of the kids, and the disability check is necessary for them to live. they have paid in for over 40 years, so i believe the benefits they are getting are benefits they deserve from being responsible tax paying citizens. its not his fault he broke his back and cannot work, and its not the kids's fault thier mother is worthless. lets not judge please. thats not what my question was about.
