First one needs to Select All from the box of interest, like the "In Box", then while these are selected, a 'Forward' button will be on the menu bar, click it, and the send messages dialog will come up then enter the address of the Gmail account, and when everything settles, click 'Send'.

Furthermore, in my experience, you can't do more than 2 or 3 at a time without tripping Yahoo's anti-spam filter, which kills the email. the best way is to setup a filter. Create a filter that will forward all emails to your new account. If you can setup your Lycos with your Outlook, even better - you can setup an auto-reply rule from Outlook. However considering lycos is web-based.. it is unlikely that you will be able to setup auto-mail forwarding.. you will have to recheck often and notifiy every person of the change of email address.
