How Can I Take You For Morning Walk On Leash I Am Serious

Walking my cat on a leash---too weird?

Can you walk your cat on a leash? I saw harnesses and leashes for cats at the pet store.

I got my cat 6 days ago. Her name is Michiko. The shop said she was 9 months old but her papers say her birthday is in March. So I guess she's almost a year old. She's like 6/7lbs (she looks tiny).

A few other questions:

1) Can I give her a bath? She was spayed about 2 weeks ago but I can see the incision scab. The vet said she's fine, she licked the glue off but the stitches are intact and gave her a cone so she doesn't lick anymore. Obviously, I'd be cleaning her very gently. I just wanted to clean her since she was sitting in that yucky shelter cage. I would have asked the vet but my husband took her and forgot.

2) Must you feed a cat wet food? I feed her 1 cup of dry kitten (the vet recommended kitten food)food a day, which is according to the food label. But then I read online that cats need a wet food supplement? I never fed my old cat wet food because my mom said it made her poo too smelly and she meowed every morning til she got it.

3) How often should you change the litter box? As in emptying it all not just scooping.

4) And of course, the leash question. Is it too weird? I thought she would like it because she enjoys looking out the window. I mean, people walk small dogs.

Thanks for the advice!

Is a morning walk better or a walk in the evening?

It depends on how seriously you want to walk or run and what are your activities going to be post exercise. If it is a walk, the morning time, specially before the rising sun lits up the horizon is the best as the rhythm of thoughts for a day is yet to set in and the mood of the mind is neutral.I like to jog in evening because in morning, I do not know as to how much calories I am going to spend at work. But in the evening, I know what balance of calories I am left with to blast . Moreover unlike in morning we don't meet up the regular walkers in the evening. Possibly that is the time that we are with our self and it's time to let mind speak to the body to ensure that all is going well within. The stress is a silent killer . We may appear healthy outwardly, but inside the stress may be working to built an avalanche. In Indian army, we were taught to consider the body as temple for 22 hours to worship but for two hours, consider it as an enemy. Make it suffer for two hours so much so that it behaves smoothly.A day has 1440 minutes. When we do not want to physically work hard, we always give excuses for being busy. I like to take away 5% of the time six days a week and run as much as I can. I am in US since last five weeks and missing badly my evening jogs at worli Seaface in Mumbai. I have crossed 50 but what I learn in army, I still follow. I follow a target of running 150 km a month. My FITBIT reading of last jog runs asTo stay young and healthy, keep running everyday.

Can I walk my dog after neutering?

My puppy (5 months) got neutered Friday morning. Saturday was spent in a groggy daze, a lot more life on Sunday, and now he is quite bored with a lot of energy. He is healing normally. Can I take him for a short walk around the block yet? The vet says only potty trips to the yard for the first little while and no dog parks/vigorous exercise for 2 weeks. It's been almost 4 days now. Or should I still keep him confined?

Is it weird that I walk my pet cat on a leash at parks?

Nooooo, Zelda! Not in the least! Obviously you have an indoor only cat that you wish to protect from all the bad things that can happen to our feline friends. I'm thinking about FeLV (feline leukemia) and FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) and other illnesses. Walking your cat on a leash along with vaccination lowers her risk of these health issues, as you are controlling where the cat goes. Walking her on a leash will keep her away from wild animals, dogs, vehicles and cruel people that have an irrational hatred for cats. By walking her on a leash you are greatly protecting her and still giving her the stimulation of being outdoors. Ignore people who pronounce this safe practice as “weird”. Not enough people who own cats go to such great lengths to care for their pet, so this will look “different” to some people. Kudos to you for taking such great care of her. You must love her a great deal!

Why don't people walk cats on a leash?

I’ve introduced my now 15-y old cat Thor, to a leash and harness very early on (he would have been 6 months old). There was a bit of dragging around the first few times, but after that, he just loved it. We were living in an apartment on the second floor at the time, and there was no way to let him out on his own due to a major road just nearby. He quickly learned to walk without pulling. This is one of our occasional strolls around Pede in Brussels. The biggest sandbox he’d seen yet (Montpellier)We’re off to the local parc (Montpellier).Encounters with the local fauna are always interesting (Drôme provençale). Here, trying to reach my mom’s sausage dog in Waterloo.Still in an apartment in Sydney, so we’d have either a morning or evening walk. As others have noted, you don’t walk a cat. You stand and wait (here, for the lizard to pop out again). Once the cat is good to walk again, you walk… 10 m… then you stop again and wait.So yes, sometimes, you need to either gently tug to signal it’s time to get a move on, or you give up: pick up your furry friend, and walk back home while it’s growling in resentment on your shoulder. Now that I’m out in the countryside, Thor has all the garden space he needs, and we are no longer using a harness as he can go out as he pleases using the cat flap (cat stays indoors at night to give the critters a break). His new favourite spot, overlooking the property.TLDR: some cats love to go for a walk on a leash!

How can some old ladies walk their cat in the park without a leash?

Thanks for the A2A.Cats can learn a routine, and follow it quite consistently. While I don’t allow my cat to go outside, she does have certain consistent actions that she engages in. For example, in the morning, she expects a visit from her boyfriend. A neighbor has a rather large male cat that is in love with my cat. He comes to the door of our unit, and waits. My cat knows that I will let her out, and she immediately runs to the neighbor’s unit and expects a snack. Then, they go out in the hallway and play a bit. I should point out, both have been “fixed,” so they are not going to produce kittens. He usually rolls on his back, and she licks and grooms his face. They are clearly in love.At night, she waits until I turn out the light, and close my iPad or computer. Then she jumps on the bed, if she is not already there, and comes up next to me and lays down. If it is relatively cold, she snuggles against me. If it is warmer, she leaves some space, but always has a paw in contactIn the same manner, a cat could learn to accompany their person on a walk. But, letting a cat out like that can expose them to predators, disease, and toxins.
