How Come My Eyes Feel Irritated And Weird With Contacts In

Why do my eyes feel weird after wearing contacts for too long?

the likelihood is that you are depriving your eyes of oxygen. What you are doing is very dangerous to your eyesight and your ability to wear lenses long term. After you take them out then your eyes are going to start to receive oxygen again. That will cause a variety of effects , long term one of those could be a lot of pain.

Why are my contact lenses irritating my eyes?

There is a condition of the eyelids called GPC - Giant papillary conjunctivitis. This condition results in bumps underneath the eyelids. You or your eye doctor can flip your eyelids and check for GPC.

I went to the top guy at Manhattan Throat, Eye and Ear and he had no idea that he needed to do this when I had the same symptoms as you. I paid him but I determined not to pay another clueless doctor. I went to a medical research library and read through everything on eye illnesses until I came to articles mentioning my symptoms. I went to the doctor who published these articles and he immediately flipped my eyelids and showed me that I did indeed have GPC. There are something like four stages of bumps and redness.

The message I am trying to relate is that if you go to an eye doctor, make sure that doctor is familiar with and has diagnosed GPC, so you can rule it in or out.

Good luck.

Does it feel weird putting eye contacts in?

It feels weird at first but you get used to them. Make sure you wash your hands before applying them. You have to make sure they're in a bowl shape because if you out then inside out they will HURT! and when you take them out just move them a little to the side and pinch them and they will come out. Watch YouTube videos If you need to SEE it with your two eyes on the process of putting them in and taking them out. Good luck :)

Why does my contact feel blurry in one eye?

Mine seem to do this when they're wearing out. For some reason, even though my prescription is identical for both eyes, and they both fit perfectly when new (perfectly comfortable and clear) my left lens always seems to wear out faster than the right. It will then get slightly blurry and if my next batch is running late and I don't replace it in time, eventually I'll be able to feel it, like something is in my eye. I don't know why…My eyes are also sensitive to the type of fluid I use; there is only one brand of lens fluid that doesn't make my eyes water just enough to make them slightly blurry; usually the left worse than the right. It's called “Complete.”

Feels like something in my eye, after taking contacts out?

Alright so here's my problem. For the past few MONTHS i've been having problems with my eyes and feels like there is something in both of them. It definitely feels like particles are in my eyes, after I take out my contacts and some times very rarely I feel them when my contacts are in. If I blink hard I can feel the particles moving around, but if I don't they seem to settle behind my eye. I have tried eye drops, flushing, pulling my lid down, but that's about it. My eye exam dude looked at them, and he said they didn't see anything, and my eye looks perfect. Any suggestions on what to do to get it out? I am seriously fed up with having this stuff in my eyes... there is DEFINITELY something in there, I just cannot get it out. Also, when changing out my contacts I noticed there was a hole in one a few months ago, maybe that is in one of my eyes. I don't know for sure, but does anyone have any more suggestions? Maybe there is a product to dissolve the particles lol?

When I wear my contacts it feels like it's scratching my eye?

When I put my contacts in my right eye it feels almost like the contact is scratching my eye and my eye begins to water up. My left eye is fine and isn't irritated at all. I wore contacts for my first time yesterday. They did the same thing when I put them in (my left eye was fine but by right eye seemed irritated) & when I took them out both my eye were very red but my right eye looked swollen. Anyone know what's going on?

(contacts) feel like something's in my eye when blinking. ?

Could be one of many things-

An air bubble? When you close your eyes, try rubbing the eyelid to release a bubble, or even a tear.

Dirt? Clean and rub the contact lens with solution for 20 seconds, then rinse it with the solution. Look at the lens to inspect for any cuts, tears, or dirt that looks embedded in it.

Inside out? Make sure to check each time before you put it in.

Is the left contact in your left eye, and the right contact in your right eye?

Is the contact flat on your eye, or slightly folded? I know when I put in my soft contacts, sometimes it folds SLIGHTLY at the edge, and I either try to move the contact with my finger around in circles to try and unfold, or I pull it out and put it back in. This only happens when I put the contact in on the sclera of my eye, rather than directly on the cornea.

_____

If all else fails, I'd assume that you have dirt embedded in it (considering that you didn't have this problem before?) - try using a new contact? Is it only in one eye? Or both eyes?
