His phone rings twice then goes to Voicemail?
My boyfriend and I are having problems. He's been ignoring me, and I'm not throwing a year of my life away. So I've been calling frequently. His phone always rings five times before going to Voicemail. When it's off, it goes straight to Voicemail. He finally decided to talk to me. We had been talking for two hours and suddenly I hear a weird noise and the call ends. I called back and instead of ringing immediately, it's silent for five seconds, rings twicVoicemail. If he's ignoring the call, shouldn't the rings vary? He can't ignore them all at the exact time. I tried calling on a different phone and got the same thing. I've texted, but no reply
What might it mean when a phone call goes straight to voicemail?
If it always happens when you call and not when others call, then the person is avoiding you and hitting the button that sends the message straight to voicemail when they see it’s you (or they have the phone already set to do this automatically). You would know that from the fact that they woukd also not return messages…If it’s not only when it’s you and it happens all the time, they maybe they lost the phone or put it in ‘night’ mode. I have my phone on ‘sleep’ or ‘night’ mode automatically at certain times of day…If it doesn’t happen every time it could mean that they are on the phone speaking with someone.

depends on the phone settings. my friend's dies and it will go straight to voicemail but on mine I turned off the voicemail setting so it just rings and rings and rings forever hahaha. dunno what phone he has but some are different. just ask him about it. you shouldn't assume he is lying just because something is off. he is your boyfriend you should give him the benefit of the doubt and wait to see~

If it has been more than 60 days since the account was activated and you have not set the voicemil up then the feature is no longer on the account and that is why you are getting the message you are getting. You need to call customer service at 1-800-331-0500 from a different phone so that they can add the feature and walk you thru setting it up. You can also go online at www.att.com/wireless and register your account and then add the voicemail feature (it is a free feature) to your account and then set it up by pressing and holding the 1 key
