How do you sort the new yahoo email inbox by sender?
It is possible to sort by sender and subject. Follow these instructions: Turn off conversation view in settings (settings > viewing email > enable conversations), then it's possible to sort by sender and subject, etc. (To find options to sort emails, click on 'view' in top-right-hand-corner, directly above the time stamp of the emails.) How do you sort yahoo emails as to read, unread, starred, etc?
Hi Susie, In Mail, look just at the top of the list of emails in your inbox. There should be a sort option there where you can click to sort by date, read, unread, starred, etc. Also, if you feel like things are taking up too much space, look for the gear-shaped "Actions" icon above. Click that and there are some options to adjust the view. "Slim" is very compact, "Regular" is...well...in-between and "Relaxed" is the most spread out. Sounds like maybe you're too relaxed! ;)
How do you mass delete emails on Yahoo Mail?
Presuming you’re using Yahoo Mail on your PC/laptop, this is the method that I use. Also I find it easier to use the old Yahoo email, rather than the “new”.Sort your emails in “Ascending Order”. That way, you’re looking at the oldest first.Look through and make certain that any email you’ve starred or emails from family, etc. that you might want to keep — mark those and put them in a Keep folder. Otherwise, click the Select All button.Then click the Delete button. Or even better the Spam button.This is not a very speedy way to go, because Yahoo shows you only about 50 messages at a time. But after doing this 20 or so times, you’ll find you’ve made quite a dent in those emails that build up.I’ve heard there’s a way to filter e-mails that are over, say, 6 months old, but I can’t find the setting. Deleting all emails except starred emails?
Hello, Since you would like to keep all "Starred" emails, try this way:: (a) First, from the VIEW tab (located in far right of the tool-bar), click on "STARRED" under "Sort BY" option --> All the STARRED emails in your Inbox will be displayed --> When you click in the check-box in tool-bar, 50 messages will be marked at-once --> MOVE them to a different folder, for ex: named "STARRED MAILS" --> Repeat the same procedure with all the starred emails --> Now, you have saved your important emails; (b) Now, to DELETE the emails from your INBOX ---> * Scroll down to the bottom of your INBOX folder; * Make sure you are at the LAST EMAIL; * Click in the check-box in the tool-bar --> This will mark all of the emails; * Hit DELETE tab --> All the emails will be deleted from INBOX; ** It might take a while since there is a large number of emails. How do I show only unread e-mails in my inbox?
In new Yahoo Mail all emails are shown in one continuous list. You can't show only Unread or Starred messages but you can move them to the top of the page. To view "Unread": Above the list of senders is the "Sort By" feature. Click "Sort By" and then choose "Unread" from the menu. In the menu next to Unread is an arrow that if pointing down will show messages in order from newest to oldest. If pointing up - oldest to newest. Open the menu and click Unread to change the descending order. You are currently using new Yahoo Mail so you don't have to do anything else. If you do not like the full featured version, you can try switching to Yahoo Mail "Basic" version. Sign in to Yahoo Mail: http://mail.yahoo.com Click the gear icon in the upper right corner - select Mail Options Scroll down the page to "Switch now" and select "Basic".
