How Do I Get Account Information From Yahoo That Will Suffice For Setting Up Ms Outlook 2013 To

I am getting lot of spam emails that I didn’t sign up for. How can I stop the emails?

Use an email service which is very good at filtering SPAM.Google’s GMail is such a service, and tends to be pretty great at it; accounts are free.If your ISP isn’t going to do anything about it, then you’ll have to train up the mail filtering in your email client itself. If it doesn’t have one, you will need to switch email clients.Training up your filter has two problems:You will never be as good at it as Google is, with billions of accounts receiving something, it’s easy to recognize SPAM as something sent to a lot of their usersYou will still be downloading the SPAM, you just won’t be seeing it, so if you are paying for metered rate Internet service, the SPAM will still cost you money, and if you have a slow connection, the SPAM will still cost you timePersonally, I’d just get a GMail account.

Can I get hacked by clicking on a malicious link? What can I do to protect myself if I clicked on a malicious link?

The answer is simple; yes! Clicking on a link is you telling the computer I accept whatever this is and will go wherever this link takes me. The result is that you could download malware, a virus, or rootkit into your machine that allows it to be taken over by a hacker. It becomes part of a bot or botnet. The result is that your computer and its contents belongs to someone else. They can use it and do to it whatever they want. You may never even know this is happening. Some malware is designed to run 'in the background.' Meaning its doing things silently and secretly.  In some instances you may end up with ransomeware. This is a program that takes your computer over completely and forces you to pay a ransome  to get it back. See CryptoLocker - Ramsomeware Rises to New Dangerous LevelsIf you should click on link you believe or discover has delivered malware on your system you need to do an immediate scan using your up-to-date anti-virus program. Then go to the next step and use a root kit scanner. I use the Malwarebytes Beta Rootkit scanner but you could also use Kaspersky Labs free root kit tool. Keep in mind that malware will sometimes reveal itself. If you are lucky. It may change your homepage, add a toolbar or change your default search engine. That's if you're lucky. Unlucky means your files get encrypted, your system goes crazy and won't work or you start getting angry messages from friends claiming you infected their computers. Viruses and malware can send themselves to all your contacts. Unlucky means your passwords have been recorded using a key-logger and a hacker empties your bank accounts and steal your identity.Never click on any link you are not absolutely certain of. Especially in unsolicited email. If you get an email from a friend with an attachment or link don't click on it. Call them and ask them what is it? Maybe its their system that's infected?

Can you help this computer illiterate buy a computer?

Ok. Here we go. I am buying a computer for college. I will use it to type papers, browse the internet, stream videos, and itunes. I have narrowed it down to these two...

I am worried because I have not found any professional reviews (cnet or pcmag) and the select version does not have any customer reviews either (both computers came out this summer). I get the student discount which makes the quad $795 and the select $669.

I was just going to buy the quad, but after doing some research, I am not sure I need all of the power it has. The biggest difference I can see between the processor (i7 or i5). I have an i3 now, so I am sure either would be faster.

I am also worried about the difference in graphics (4600 vs 4000). Is it a big difference? I want the videos I watch to be pretty good, but I probably don't need top of the line (I'm assuming).
So basically I am asking if the extras on the quad would even be used with what I am doing on a computer.

I would prefer cheaper, but if it is worth it to pay the extra money, I will pay for it.

What is more effective, sponsored Mail, Yahoo or Gmail?

A2A.Effective - at what?Effective at communicating with others? Any email address can do that.Effective at doing mass emailing campaigns to sell something? Google actively dissuades people from doing that with Gmail addresses, but it can be done. I know only because I receive such trash now and then, usually in spam. Suffice it to say that if you are trying to make money with it, there are many better choices than Gmail.Effective at keeping your personal and/or professional life and communications simple and organized? There is no better choice than Gmail - or G-Suite.Yahoo…What do people need as sufficient evidence that Yahoo is no longer a valid choice for any purpose? Thunder and lightning on high? Earthquakes and tornadoes? A voice from the heavens?Seriously, after 2 of the largest hacks in history, exposing the personal data of over 1.5 BILLION people, anyone who still uses Yahoo deserves what they get. Worse, these hacks are OLD, and only came to light years later! The exposed account data has been out there in the hackerverse since 2013.New York Times

How do I import my bookmarks from one computer to another?

If you don't want the hassle of creating a chrome/google account and a one off copy will suffice, then you can just export  then import them in the new browser. On your old computer:Export bookmarks from ChromeClick the Chrome menu  on the browser toolbar.Select Bookmark manager.Click the Organize menu in the manager.Select Export bookmarks.Chrome will export your bookmarks as a HTML file, which you can then import into another browser.Save the HTML file onto a USB flash drive and transfer it onto the new computer. On the new computer:Import bookmarks from all other browsersClick the Chrome menu  on the browser toolbar in Google Chrome.Select Bookmark manager.Click the Organize menu in the manager.Select Import bookmarks.Open your saved HTML file. This process is documented here: http://support.google.com/chrome...All major browsers have the option to export and import bookmarks/favourites not just from the same browser but between different browsers as well. If you plan on continuing to use the old browser/computer then you should probably use syncing via the google account instead so that it is centralised and changes kept up to date on all your chrome browsers.

Can I donate my hair to cancer kids even though its dyed?

Locks of Love does accept donations of dyed hair, but there has been ongoing controversy about the ethics of this organization and your hair would most likely be put to better use with another one with a more esteemed reputation like Wigs for Kids or Pantene Great Lengths. All organizations have their own requirements for hair donations, so read through them carefully. If your hair has been colored with temporary dye then it's still acceptable. You never need to shave your head in order to donate your hair, and in fact, doing so renders the hair useless. Generally, you need around 10-12 inches of hair cut from a ponytail. Please note that most organizations that collect hair donations to be made into wigs do not just give the wigs to those with cancer. It can be given to people with hair loss due to other reasons, such as alopecia. It's still worthwhile to donate it, but there's no way of knowing if your hair will actually be used for a wig given to a child with cancer.

There are also many other ways you can meaningful support children with cancer, such as fundraising for a run or a special event. My school had a "textathon" for St. Jude's, and if you look on their website you'll see heaps of other ways to help.
