How do I get rid of the smell of human urine?
I have two little boys. The youngest is still potty training and frequently misses. My bathroom STINKS! I scrub my toilet and the floor around it every day and it still always smells. I use regular toilet bel cleaner on the inside and either a standard WC cleaner or an organic lemon cleaner on the outside and floor. Bleach only comes in the powdered Oxyclean type where I live. No liquid. So I have not tried that. Any clue as to how I get rid of the smell? I don't mind cleaning daily (because I have to) but I just want the smell to be gone after I clean.

Never underestimate the cleansing power of fire. Seriously, though, I think if you're trying to avoid the expense of a new sofa, maybe you should consider getting it re-upholstered, or professionally cleaned. As someone prior to me mentioned, steam cleaning might be one viable option for you. Febreeze and other fabric refreshing products are also useful once the problem area has been cleaned to keep the entire couch smelling user-friendly. =)
How to get rid of urine smell on leather sofa?
My elderly father was visting and had a accident. I have used pinesole, bleach and just plain old srubbing and it still reaks of urine. What puzzles me is that it is not a fabric sofa, it is made of leather. Any suggestions would be great.

This lady and her son lived in the apartment that I'm moving in for over 40 years. The mother has been dead for at least 25 years. I'm sure that this urine smell in the wood floor has been there every since. I've used industrial outdoor bleach, I've used a product called "Simple Green", I can't afford to have a new floor put in. I need help with what I can do.. Please Help!!

There are a few things that you can do. First use soap to get the gross material broken up. A cheap bar of sunlight laundry soap is excellent. Blot up as much as you can with the asistance of soap and water. Vinegar is excellent for removing the smell of urine as the urine decays. However if the pee has soaked deep into the cushion then you cannot reach it by soap and water and blotting. A pet store will sell you an enzyme cleaner. All organic material, vomit, feces, urine eventually decay into earth and dust. Once the organic material is all broken down it does not react with the environment any longer and there is no smell. Organic material breaks down with the action of enzymes. If you add enzymes then you accelerate the process. An enzyme accelerator is sold to reduce the smells and wastes products. Get one from your local pet store. To refresh the air of odors leave out a bowl of white vinegar. I was very impressed one time when I used a steam cleaner on a pillow. I did not think that steam would do much. However it pushed the smell right out. I was treating cigarette smoke.
