How Do I Hook Up A Sierra Wireless Hot Spot Antenna

Are wireless signals (e.g. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi) harmful to the human body?

Let's look at this top down:There about 4.3 Billion mobile/cellular phones in use world wide, and there have been over a Billion phones in use since about 2001. Their frequencies are range from 400 MHz (0.4 GHz) to 1.9 GHz, roughly similar to your router. There are about 300 million laptops sold each year, with >90% having 2.4 GHz WiFi.   There are roughly 1.2 Billion in regular use world wide, and there have been over 500 million using Wi-Fi the past 5 years. So far, we have not seen any mass epidemics, except for obesity, which is usually attributed to people spending too much time sitting and playing with computers. So the experiment Daniel Helman talks about has been running for some time, with large statistical power (now Billions!)  and the results appear to be negative.Parts of the experiment have been running long enough (30 years) that we can put an upper bound on how bad the worse case to be.  The worse possible case at this point (early 2012) would be some what bad for a small number of people, probably less that 500,000 out of the Billions. There is not a mega disaster waiting, or it would have already occurred.******In the real world, Microwaves (like 2.4 and 5 GHz) have been known to affect the eyes, being associated with cataracts. One reason you are not supposed to put your head next to a microwave oven and stare at the food. You are very close to the router for a long period of time.> I would suggest you consider moving the router to the other side of the room, or toward your feet, and away from delicate and important systems like eyeballs, brains, ears, etc. That's a low effort precaution.*****Since you live in Los Angeles, where the car is king,  here's an idea that might have more "impact" on your personal safety:  get a modern car.1959 Chevy vs. 2009 Chevy frontal offset crash...

My MacBook Pro keeps disconnecting from my home WiFi. What could be the issue?

One quick-fix that could work: Change the service order of your networks.Apple puts Bluetooth at the top by default, that could interfere with your Wifi connection. Go to Apple menu -> System Preferences -> NetworkPress the settings button below on the left side:Choose Set Service Order.. , and drag Bluetooth DUN to the bottom:Press OK and then Apply. If that doesn't help, you could also delete the Wifi connection with the Minus button, and add it again with the Plus button.Next options: Restoring the factory settings on your router, chance the channel on which it broadcasts, or replacing it all-together.

How do I connect to a mobile hotspot with my laptop (I use Kali Linux, latest version (dual boot)?

You need a wireless high gain antenna such as -TP-Link 600Mbps USB Wireless WiFi Network Adapter for PC with High Gain Dual-Band Antenna for Windows XP/7/8/8.1/10 - MAC OS 10.7~10.13 . Without this , you can't.

How many ground wires should be connected to the negative terminal of a car battery?

Years ago it was common for the ground to go straight to the frame, then there was a separate heavy ground strap from the frame to the engine because the engine sits on rubber mounts and is more or less insulated from the frame. Everything else could be grounded to the frame or somewhere on the body. My first truck was like this, with the battery under the floorboard on the passenger side. Some automakers ground the battery to the engine block on the closest available bolt, but since the engine is more or less insulated it needs a wire from the block back to the frame or body. If something happens to that wire, or it gets left off by a mechanic it can cause both starting problems as well as charging problems. The other option is to run a separate ground from the battery to the body. Some Fords have the main ground going all the way to a starter bolt, which is what I think you are seeing. I’m not sure why they felt the need to use such a long ground. It’s not unusual to find some redundancy, either from the factory or because someone had a problem and added an extra wire. My truck has an added wire due to a poor ground on the headlights.Depending on how things are connected it could be one, two, or possibly more. I’m not sure I’ve seen more than two from the factory, but I have encountered some strange wiring schemes and wouldn’t rule it out.

What incidents and events have made India proud?

On 15 th July LIGO [1] ( Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory )announced the detection of the Gravitational Waveswhich were produced due to the merger of the two massive Black Holes.which led to the confirmation of the Prediction of the Gravitational waves by the Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity that was formulated 100 years ago.Lets have look at few quotes by the eminent scientist which shows the Importance of the “ Break Through ”“This detection is the beginning of a new era: The field of gravitational wave astronomy is now a reality,” says Gabriela González, LSC spokesperson and professor of physics and astronomy at Louisiana State UniversityThe description of this observation is beautifully described in the Einstein theory of general relativity formulated 100 years ago and comprises the first test of the theory in strong gravitation. It would have been wonderful to watch Einstein’s face had we been able to tell him,” says Weiss.Fulvio Ricci, Virgo Spokesperson, notes that, “This is a significant milestone for physics, but more importantly merely the start of many new and exciting astrophysical discoveries to come with LIGO and Virgo. There were about 9 Indian InstitutesInter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics, Pune;International Centre for Theoretical SciencesTata Institute of Fundamental Research, BangaloreChennai Mathematical Institute, Chennai,RRCAT, IndoreIndian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar Ahmedabad GujaratInstitute for Plasma Research, Bhat, GandhinagarTata Institute of Fundamental Research, MumbaiIndian Institute of Science Education and Research , KolkataIISER-TVM, CET Campus, Trivandrum Keralawho contributed to this significant discovery. How can I get Wi-Fi service in an RV?

You can buy in-car WiFi routers. Meant to run off 12V. They use a SIM card with data subscription from your preferred cellular carrier. I use a Sierra-Wireless MP70 with external antenna but different brands and versions exist. Huawei has a smaller ‘cigarette plug’ device that works fine too up to ~5 devices. Coverage is only assured of course in area’s where your cell phone carrier has coverage. Satellite versions exist, but the price per MB is extremely high and speed is very slow.
