How Do I Make Enough To Go Back To School

Is $700 enough to go back to school shopping??

i think you should shop at goodwill!
they have really good brands there and its really cheap!!
i got like 5 pairs of abercrombie jeans for only 12.99!
thats a bargain right there!

I owe $2000 before I can go back to school?

do your best to pay off the loan balance soon. consider it an investment. also attend a cheaper college when you can.

Do you think $200 is enough to go back to school shopping?

Money is only what you make it, girl. :) $200 is certainly enough for a good back-to-school shopping spree. The places you mentioned have good prices and cute clothes that can be great for layering and mismatching. Browse the clearance racks and you can get some adorable stuff for only a few bucks! (I found some panties the other day for $2 or $3 and a pair of shorts for $7.)

I'm sorry about your limited funds and your parents' split. Just remember, you can still make money on your own, too. I spend a lot of my own money on clothes and makeup. My mom gives me $50 a month, $20 of which goes to my phone bills. I'm a bit of a shopaholic, so it forces me to make my own extra money. ^.^

Also, here are a few tips about sales and coupons.
Most stores tend have big summer sales in either/both June and August (at least as far as I've noticed), and lots of stores give you these coupons after you shop that are valid for only about a month, right? Also, get on their e-mail list and they'll send you more coupons and sales dates. Combine all this stuff and go on two smaller shopping trips over the summer--you'll save a lot by spacing out your trips with a few weeks in between.

Is $100 , $150 , or $200 enough money for back to school shopping?

1) Go through your closet and clean it out. Make two piles (1) donate to charity (2) recycle to turn it to something cuter (there are lots of videos on youtube to do that)
2) Make a list of what you will need depending on what you have outgrown. It also depends what grade you are going into. Anywhere around late middle school or high school I suggest this:
2-4 new pairs of jeans
2-3 new pairs of shoes (or more if you MUST need it)
8-10 new tops (7 if your looking to save money)
jewelry and accessories depending on what you have in terms of clothing. a new purse, new jewelry collection would all just be luxury if you have enough $$$
$150 seems fine

TIPS: shop on sale days, nordstrom is having one huge one TOMORROW. Wednesdays are great for shopping and saving at the stores you listed. make sure you go through the back of the store to make sure there is something similiar on clearance you can buy. DON'T feel pressured to buy anything too expensive or over the topo!

Can you get held back in high school?

You don’t get held back in high school. However, if you don’t have enough credits to graduate come the end of senior year, then you will spend one or two more years as a senior until you either get sufficient credits to graduate or you “age out” and are forced to leave and try to get a GED certificate using the resources at your local community college.During your time at the high school, you will be considered a freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, senior, senior……..

I am 41 years young. Am I too old to go back to school?

I think your calculations are off as to when you will be a doctor if in the United States.  Undergraduate study takes on average 4 years, medical school takes 4 years, then the minimum residency is 3 years and some are 7+.  So at minimum you will be 52 and if you wanted to be a surgeon or specialist mid 50's.  The average medical student exits medical school with $160,000 in debt and usually they do not pay on it accruing interest during residency.  The average doctor leaving residency has $200,000 in loan debt.  During medical school you would be in you mid-late 40's going to school and studying 50-60 hours a week.  Later with clinical rotations you will be taking in hospital call.  In residency you will be late 40's to early 50's taking in house call some days and often working 60-80 hrs per week.  Will you be able to do that?Another challenge will actually be getting accepted to medical school.  You will need excellent grades especially in the prerequisite subjects.  You will be competing with kids just out of high school.  I would look at the admission requirements Admission Requirements for Medical School and in many colleges courses like organic chemistry are used to cull the students wanting to go to medical school.  You will have to take the MCAT's as well.  Only 40% of applicants are accepted.  Most applicants apply to 10 or more schools.  The average medical school gets 4500 applications for 100-200 spots.  Some state schools are required to take a a certain percentage of applicants from  their own state.  So are you ready to grind out A's against teenage-young 20's in the pre-requisite subjects? Finally are you ready to move for college?  Are you ready to move again for medical school and then again for residency?  If you have family/children how will you support this endeavor and moving them each time.  What happens if you fail to get into medical school and have accumulated debt?  What happens if you get out of medical school and don't match as programs might think you to be too old?I am not saying it is impossible to do, but at 41 with no prior college you are choosing one of the longest and most difficult/expensive paths to a career.

What should I do if I want to go back to school, but don't have money over things like bills, buying food, clothes, and necessities?

Take a look at this website, which provides information on thousands of scholarships:Scholarship Search Tool and College Scholarship Finder AppYou plug in some personal profile information that allows the program to narrow down which scholarships that are appropriate for you.It is used often by school-leavers at my son’s high school.

Going back to school at 33 Years old...?

I completed my first grad degree at 27 and my second grad degree at 38. I am now a faculty instructor teaching in a college that targets specifically the older, mature, and working adult among others.

There are numerous programs that are based online, on the weekend, or otherwise take about 10 hours per week of study and class time which with the right initiative will allow you to work and cointinue your life without a problem.

I would especially recommend some of the online schools. Many of these offer a series of classes towards a degree with everyone done online including access to the library and chatting with other students.

Having taught more than 500 students in a college online setting; all of whom worked full time jobs; I can say that as long as you adequately schedule yourself, make time for yourself (non work and school time) and have a serious goal in mind that will lead to something you've always want to do, that will be enough incentive to get you through.

there are some online programs geared to the freshman and new college student. There are others that will transfer existing college credits.

Hope that helps.
