How can I stop my hair from getting messed up?

Your answer is what you want to avoid - product.
My hair is floaty and wispy and thin and if I didn't use product it would fly all over the place. You just have to.

I have just about the style you want and as I doubt you're from the US, bear with me on the prices here.
I wash my hair, spray a leave-in conditioner (reconstructor) to protect from heat, then I blow dry it upside down, straighten it with a flat iron (which cost $50 US), then use a shine cream for shine and to help pick up the roots a little bit (helps with being able to see the layers).. the shine cream is from bed head and is about $13 a bottle and I've had the same bottle for a year.
Then I use a "hair paste" called Redken Rewind, which helps my hair to look a little more choppy so you can see all my layers - I scrunch that into my hair and then pat it down a little so it doesn't stick up all over the place. That cost $19 and also lasts about 8-12 months.
Then I spray it all over and sprunch it up with finishing spray. Which you can get for about three bucks anywhere.

I assume a widow's peak is what we call a cow lick? Where your hair just wants to stick up in one spot?
You WON'T beat that without a flat iron either. I have a cow lick on the back of my head that gives me nightmares but my flat iron gets it down :)

Just... you have to use product on your hair to get it to work with you. I never tried this at all before last year and it's made an enormous difference in the way I look. I just started experimenting with stuff until I found what worked for me.


OH.. and for the hairdresser... Find a picture of exactly the cut you want, search and search the internet until you find one, and print it out and take it to her. Or find magazines and look through until you find one you love. Don't give up until you find JUST what you want!

How do you stop hair going messy?

Do you flat iron your hair?

How to stop my hair getting messy/greasy overnight?

So I shower at night before bed... But I toss and turn a lot so when I wake up my hair's all messy and greasy. What things can I do to stop this? I can't shower n the morning and tying it up makes it worse.

You know when after you use shaving gel and you put it away for the night, why and how do you stop the gel from coming out of the can overnight and getting it everywhere under the cap? I've tried different things like cap or no cap, rinsing with or without water before putting away, standing it upside down...and now just fed up...i hate that every morning I have to wipe off the shaving gel can before I can shave...what to do??

Every morning i take the time to make my hair look good, but then i go to school where it is pouring with rain. The second i step out i am drenched and so is my hair. This then makes it go into a curly, frizzy mess and i look disgusting. Is there anything i could do or put in my hair to prevent it from going curly in the rain? Thank you!
