How do I teach 2 1/2 year old to talk?

I can almost guarantee that he has a problem such as apraxia. he sounds so much like my son was at that age. He started speech therapy at 27 months old and only knew 10 words. he was very frustrated. He has been in speech for 8 months (he is now 34 months old) and has a huge vocabulary. He is not very clear when he says his words, but he is trying hard.

apraxia is sort of like an adult who has had a stroke and has damaged thier speech center...they KNOW what they want to say, but the word is "stuck", or they just cannot make thier mouth move the right way. Apraxia has no bearing on intelligence, my son is proof of that.

you can get your son free speech therapy for the next few months through early intervention. after he turns 3 he can go to special preschool through your local school and get free speech therapy there too. Can badgies talk? How do you teach them to talk?

yes u can teach budgies to talk ,
i can hear mine chatting away on the couch right now

male budgies are alot easier to teach to talk than females and a hand reared or very young budgie will learn faster and easier.petshop budgies may never learn to talk

to teach them to talk keep only 1 budgie or separate them.
make sure they have no mirrors or anything they might think is another bird.
because they will prefer to talk in bird to the other birds than try to copy u.

take ur bugie out for a fly around and to sit on ur shoulder everyday.while ur in bed reading a book is a good time because ur not moving around to scare ur bird in any way and u look less intimidating,let ur budgie sit on ur book or nibble ur face so he gets to know u a bit more .

just repaeating an interesting bird to him.
he will pick it up eventualy ,some words are a little to complicated for birds to learn but teaching them hello and their name is the best start.

my bird now has a huge vocabulary including pop goes the weasel and im a cheeky birdie.
he also likes to nestle up to face to listen for any new words he copy.

Is it too late to teach my bird to talk?

I just got a Parakeet yesterday (male). He is about 9 months old. Is it too late to try and teach him to talk? Right now I'm just focusing on him being comfortable around people, he used to be tame but the other family stopped doing things with him. I was just wondering after he is comfortable in his new home, is it ever too late to try and teach a bird to talk? I know it takes alot of time, patienc, and repetition.

Teaching ravens to talk?

There is a way to tell a gender without blood tests. This one is female. We're feeding her oatmeal with a bit of water mixed with it. She might just have a sprang leg not a broken wing. She will not die if we keep her for a few months until she's strong and old enough to fly. We will most definately not release her around here when we do, her parents would peck her to death because she has human scent on her. Furthermore, it is NOT illegal to have a pet raven. And it is possible to teach ravens to talk, we will hopefully get her to say her name when her vocal cords are mature enough to do so.

How do i teach my mynah bird to talk? And how long does it take for him to start talking?

what type of mynah bird is it? is a a greater hill mynah (which you dont see many of now a days) they are the black and yellow ones,

or is it an indian mynah? which are all black?

indian mynahs dont learn to talk very much, greater hills on the other hand dont shut up lol. as for the chilli i wouldnt because they would prefer fruit n insects.

if it is the greater hill, then dont try teaching it, just talk to it, it will pickit up soon enough, how ever if it in a indian mynah, it may never talk, it dependson the type

Should I give my little brother the sex talk and teach him to masturbate?

My little brother (He's 12, I'm 16) came home from school today with a puberty booklet. He showed it to me, and it was very vauge. He knew some sort of talk was coming, and he asked if I would explain what everything down there is for to him and show him how to masturbate. Our dad kind of teases a lot, not in a mean way, just trying to be funny, so talking to him would be awkward, I know, he talked to me. Mom is no good for a guy topic like this. I told him I would talk with about everything tomorrow night, as our parents will be out for a few hours, and then we can just talk in private, but I'll tell him I chnaged my mind if you guys think I should. Then he can ask questions and not be worried our parents will ovehear. He also asked me to show him how to masturbate, which I figured I'd show him that after the talk. He could learn about his body I figurd he could do it as I do it, or just watch me. Any advice? I'm trying to help my bro, so if you aren't gonna help, then be quiet.
