If it's the same karat as your pendant you won't be able to tell the difference - it only shows up if it's lighter/darker and it obviously stands out. Please remember that vermeil WILL rub off eventually. I work at a jewelry store and DO NOT use silver cleaner for white gold. White gold is a mixture of other elements like nickle and gold. Silver is a completely different mineral / metal. You can buy jewelry cleaner or maybe a jewelry store will sell some to you. You can also go to your local jewelers and they can put it in there sonic, and buff it if needed. If you're noticing it not being as "white" it will need to be (what we call) "flashed" it's a rhodium plating they put over white gold because the yellow gold properties come to the surface and make the jewelry not so "silver" looking any more.
