How Is Sesame Street Good For Children They Have A Big Bird A Grouch That Lives In A Trash Can A

Who unvented the television show sesame street?

If you mean invented it was Joan Ganz Cooney and Jim Henson.

What is the big bird's name in sesame street?

HA HA. NO offense, but you wasted your time asking that question. The show is called Sesame Street and the bird is Big Bird.

Is Sesame Street ghetto?

if theres no poverty how come the grouch lives in a trash can..if theres no drugs then whats going on with snuffy? if theres no gangs then why is everyone always around eachother

On Sesame Street... Why do they promote the fact that Oscar the Grouch is homeless?

Doc, last millennium when S.St. was created there were much drug use by the creative ppl at PBS. See Oscar is a representation of the good times these ppl had at Haight-Asbury, Woodstock & such. After a good concert trip you wake in or behind a dumpster stinky & grumpy, (I know your a good boy from Alabama. no counter-culture experiences), w/some interesting memories & profound insights from hallucengenics. See Doc in 1960s Boston, where S.st. originated from, there was drugs & gay advocacy going on. S.St. is these creative genius's subtly putting in their Bostonian experiences (gay rights = bert & Ernie), (good drug trips = Oscar) & then they had the U.S. govt' subsidise a show based on their counter-culture experiences. See? S.St. subtly teaches children that drug use leads to living hairy, grumpy & stinky in a can. Gayness,(is that a word), leads to a basement apt. & the same partner for thirty-nine years.

An aside: Remember Barbie & Ken broke up, Bert & Ernie didn't

Barney & Friends vs Sesame Street: Who would win in a fight?

Sesame Street.

Barney's a queer dinosaur with little kids as friends.

Why did the creators of Sesame St. pick that name for the show? Is it a real street somewhere?

Like many new shows, they had a long list of possible names for it, including "The Video Classroom" and "The Nitty Gritty Itty Bitty Kiddy Show". They then sat a bunch of children in front of a test show and asked them which name they thought was best. The kids chose "Sesame Street" (a name based on the magic phrase 'open sesame' from Arabian Nights), even though most of the adults weren't that keen on that particular name. For a while there was a sort of desperate open call for anyone with a better name for it to PLEASE submit it, but nobody came up with one. So the name stuck.
