How Long Does It Take For For An Injured Spouse Return To Arrive In 2014

How do you read IRS transcripts? Where's my injured spouse claim?

I have called the IRS several times and all they can tell me is "they are working on it" Does any of this help to know when or how much my refund will be? I mailed it on March 13th, but they say they received it on March 24th according to the transcript. So it has been almost 14 weeks since I mailed it, 12 weeks since they say they received it. They said to allow 8 weeks for processing.

How long does the Injured Spouse Department take to process my refund?

I filed on 2-9-14 and was accepted the same day. I efiled and filed my injured spouse form at the same time. Talked to IRS today and the representative told me my return had been processed and was moved to the Injured Spouse Dept. on 3-3-14 he said it can take up to 8 wks for them to work the form. Does anyone know how long it usually takes from this point? My husband was the only one who worked, the debt is mine and I had no income...
Thanks for taking the time to help me!

Has anyone received their 2014 injured spouse refund yet?

I know the standard "11 weeks" answer the IRS gives. This is my 4th year filing. It has never taken 11 weeks. I've had it range from 6-11. I've gotten as early as mid-March and as late as the end of May. I was asking if anyone had received theirs yet or had heard if there were any holdups this year(like last year with education credits).

After you file your taxes how long does it take to get your tax refund?

Since the tax return is the document you file with the IRS, I believe you are asking how long until you receive a federal tax refund. The answer depends on how you filed the tax return, the contents of the tax return, and the requested disbursement method for you refund. If electronically filed and direct deposit to your bank account is requested, you may receive a refund in as little as 8 days-14 days. If you asked to have the refund mailed to you, it could be closer to 14–28 days.If you are claiming certain benefits like Earned Income Credit or Child Tax Credit, the timeframe is closer to 4 weeks. With other benefits such as Injured Spouse form 8379, or if you filed an Amended tax return, the usual timeframe is about 12 weeks. However, these estimates are just my experience and vary based on the caseload at the IRS, because the law requires some benefits to be more highly scrutinized before refunds are issued.Other common situations could extend the timeframe much longer and require additional response by you. For instance, if you are missing certain forms such 8962 which reports certain Affordable Healthcare information or form 8862 because your Earned Income Credit was disallowed in a previous year, then you might need to send in additional forms and information before the IRS would process your return and issue a refund. You can track the status of your return and refund at Where’s My Refund at Refunds | Internal Revenue ServiceDisclaimer: Since you are not my client, the above message is not intended to constitute written tax advice, but general information for discussion purposes only. 12 weeks since amended tax return processing and still no update?

"Your amended return was received on March 28, 2014 and it is being processed. Please allow 8-12 weeks for processing. You may continue to check here for more information."

That is the information is has been giving me every time I check my status on the two amended tax returns. This friday will make the 12 week date. What steps should I take the following week? Should I call the irs?
