I think you sound really healthy! Having said that, your muscle mass is probably why you weigh 140 lbs. You are probably very slim in any case. You should probably talk to your doctor or physical Ed teacher.You work out..If you do weights…then your weight has no bearing on size.

Hi dear :), multiply your body weight by 15. The number you get is your “maintenance” calories. In order to lose weight you will need to subtract 100–500 calories from that number. For example, if you weight 165 pounds you need to multiply that number by 15, which is 2,475. Subtract 100–500 calories from that number. That's how many calories a day you will need to eat in order to lose weight. I strongly suggest you do this VERY slowly, to avoid “metabolic damage”. Every week subtract 100 calories and NEVER exceed more than 500 calories. Remember you can help put yourself into a deficit with the help of cardio. You are young and have probably never dieted before so the weight should have no problem melting off. :) Good luck dear.
