yes you can. i do this all the time, i usually travel with 2 cartons of cigarettes on a longer trip and I put that in my checked baggage, and I keep a pack of cigarettes in my carry on. You can also bring a regular lighter with you (i.e. BIC lighter) on a plane but only in your carry on it is not allowed in your checked baggage. How many cartons of cigarettes can I take on a plane?
A friend and myself are flying from Houston Texas, to Seattle Washington and driving on a road trip back to Texas with a friend. And cigarettes are so expensive in Washington, and we're not sure how expensive in other states. So we figured for the road trip I would have a carton, and both friends would have a carton. So my question is, if I buy three cartons of cigarettes down here in Texas will I be able to take all three with me on the plane? Or would I have to split them up between me and the friend? And can I buy them at my local gas station and take them on the plane? Or is there a place in the airport I can buy three cartons?
