it's not that i like apple and indeed it is dual core but keep in mind that it has 4 threats and because you will probably not use such heavy programs on your tablet (but only a little bit of multy tasking) it will do the same as 4 cores running on a clockspeed (also it has a m7 motion coprocessor that can for sensor sensible apps)

Same 1024×768 resolution, that means iPad mini has a better pixel density than the iPad 2.iPad 2 still uses the 30-pin connector and iPad mini uses the Lightning connector for charging.iPad 2 comes with a VGA-quality front-facing camera and iPad mini has a front camera capable of shooting 720p HD video.
