How Many People Can Live In A Two Bedroom Townhouse In Vancouver B.c.

How many people can legally live in a three bedroom apartment in Pierce County, WA?

HUD standards are currently “two heartbeats per bedroom”.So that would be six people. However, as government regulations often are, the real story is more complicated than that.If this housing is being paid for with Section 8 voucher(s), there is a requirement that no more than three unrelated persons permitted to occupy the place.Other than that, it’s about overcrowding, and there are multiple standards at play:PPR — Persons Per Room; so if you have three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, and a kitchen, then the overall limit would be seven persons.PPB — Persons per Bedroom; as already noted, that limit is two persons per bedroom, which means six peopleUSFPP — Unit Square Footage Per Person; HUD requires that there be 165 square feet per person; that’s 15 feet by 11 feet.PPR by USFPP — Persons Per Room by Unit Square Footage Per Person; basically, this means that if a given bedroom is 165 square feet, it can only have one person in it; if is at least 330 square feet, it can have two persons in it; that’s 15 feet by 22 feet. You can read more on Federal Occupancy Standards by downloading this document.Additionally there may be municipal ordinances you will need to comply with; for example, if the Pierce County location you are talking about is inside the city of Tacoma, additional regulations may apply. Finally, there are state level divisions of which you may need to be aware; here’s the state by state information a the HUD web site: U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) — state by state.

What are the best and worst neighborhoods to live in Vancouver BC?

I am relocating, and I loved the neighborhood where the movie, "In the Land of Women" was filmed.

What are the best and worst neighborhoods to live in Vancouver? What is the average temp for winter and summer there?

How do people afford a million dollar house in vancouver?

It's unaffordable. Inheritance made it possible for some. Truth is that prices were bid up by Chinese and other minority of foreign investors desperate to unload their suitcases of money.Prices do not keep relations with income level. While SF and NY real estate markets are over $1 mil, their income levels make it possible. It is common to hear high tech workers in Silicon Valley or IB bankers reporting income over 200k avg, it is not common to see these figures in Vancouver, not even near. Vancouver has in fact the lowest average income in large Canadian cities. Some families do in fact do quite an effort gathering money and mortgaging their lives for the next 30 yrs. Many decided to settle with small apartments or townhouses, even townhouses are easily over $700k.

How much would it cost for a student to live in Vancouver BC?

I am a student, living in Vancouver. I would say that it costs about $1800 per month, excluding your college/school fee. This included the rent, transportation, college fee, food, mobile bill and medical insurance. To rent a house (typically a 2 bedroom basement), it costs about $850 per month. This usually has the wifi, cable and the laundry included, but in some cases you would have to pay extra for them. For transportation, you could either have your own car or travel by public transit and since you are a student, I assume that you will be travelling by a public transit. The monthly pass for a student could be anywhere from $50-$200, depending on your age and how far you need to travel. College fee is a big factor. This merely depends on what course you have chosen and the number of electives you have. For food, I'd say about $250-$350, assuming that you don't eat out a lot since that would cost a bit more. Mobile bill would be approx. $40 if you get all the features necessary. And for medical insurance, it would be about $200.  If you are pressed for money, you could try living in areas such as Surrey, which are neighboring to Vancouver, about 30 minutes away. Cities like Surrey have cheap houses for rent (about 700 for a two bedroom and 500 for one bedroom, inclusive of cable, wifi, laundry). They also have cheaper meals and groceries at some stores. Hope that helped!

What is the cost of living in Vancouver, Canada?

It will be expensive. Many Vancouverites pay over 50% of their wages towards their rent or mortgage. If you want to live within Vancouver City limits, you can expect to rent to be from $2,800 to $4,000 for the detached home you have described. Don't forget that you'll also need to pay utilities, too.If you are planning on buying a home, the cheapest detached houses start around $800,000. You usually get a tear-down in a bad neighbourhood at this price. Here are some of the factors you should look for in your neighbourhood to improve your quality of life:Walking or cycling distance from work (Vancouver traffic is bad, due to all the water, not that many bridges, and no freeways).Quick walk to Skytrain station, which will get you downtown, to the airport, shopping centers, the movies, sports and music events, a short walk to the West End beaches, etc. quickly and inexpensively.A good community centre. Some are basic leftovers from the '50s. Others have amazing fitness facilities, all sorts of cultural events, great arts and adult learning programs, child care, summer camps, and host different community sports leagues in softball, soccer, volleyball, dragon boating, kayaking, etc. Over the years, living near one of the better ones makes a big difference in quality of life.I lived in Vancouver for 20 years and loved it. The relatively low wages compared to the high housing costs are a pain, sure, but it is my top pick for living when it comes to a Canadian city. The first flowers peeping up in late January, when the rest of Canada is enjoying -30 temperatures is just one of the many reasons you'll feel glad you are living there.
