How Many Times Can You Dye Your Hair Without Ruining It

How many times can you dye your hair in a row without ruining it?

I just dyed my hair but hate the color and would like to dye it a different color immediately. How many times can I safely dye my hair in a row without destroying it? Thanks.

How many times can you dye your hair without ruining it?

I feel like dying your hair even once can destroy it if you don't know what your doing. Make sure when you do dye your hair you buy shampoo and (very good) conditioner that helps keep the color the color you dyed your hair. I'm no beautician but I've learned from experience. The darker you go, the less damage there will be. The lighter you go, the more damage there will be. I've been told by a hair dresser that it's best to (if your going lighter than your hair color that you have now) only go two shades lighter and then six months later go up a another two shades if you want it lighter. If your thinking about bleaching your hair, you should really think about getting some really good conditioner because bleach is really harsh on hair and it takes a while to recover. The best thing to do is go to a hair dresser to get your hair dyed and spend a little more because they can give you good tips on how to keep the color longer and how to take care of your hair after it being dyed. I hope this helps and good luck!

How many times can I bleach my hair without damaging it?

Just as much as you can damage your hair by bleaching more than once in a day, you can damage your scalp. You don’t want to do that. Bleach can burn and cause blistering. I would recommend that you always follow the manufacturers' recommendations and not more than once in at least 72 hours. Give your hair and scalp time to recover from the first bleaching before doing it again. If you have hair that didn’t come out to the color you wanted you may be able to counteract that unwanted color some other way. For instance, if you ended up with yellow hair instead of the blond you wanted, think about this: The color blue is across from yellow on the color wheel so blue will neutralize or basically cover up any yellow that is there. Roux makes a weekly rinse that is blue, I think it’s called silver lining or gunmetal gray or something. It’s what the little old ladies use to have blue hair. Anyway, it has no peroxide in it that would hurt your scalp or hair after a bleaching but it will cover up the yellow. It’s temporary so will wash out the next time you shampoo. You’ll have to apply it again but it’s safe to do that until it’s safe to bleach again. When you do bleach again it’s important that you only get the bleach on the part of the hair that didn’t come out the way you wanted. It’s possible that if you just put it all over again, that which came out good the first time could be too processed after the second time and break right off. Be careful. -S

How to dye your hair without foil?

it depends what your doing
if your doing Highlights then there is 2 way of doing it

1 is using foil
2 being a cap with little holes and then pull the strands of hair with a special stick

3. this my way of doing it is buying a regular shower cap and make little holes with a safety pen or a needle until you have as many holes you want depending on how many lights u want

if your just dying your hair then you don't need a foil paper
because your doing the whole head.

also if you want to something over your head when dying your whole head
then u can use a disposal shower cap or a plastic bag but don't cover your face lol.

sryan wrap, really won't anything but you might want to try it but i think it would be to tight on the hair

I didn't know how to spell seran wrap either lol

How often can you dye your hair without destroying it?

i have dyed my hair a variety of colours and my mother is a hair dresser so i know quite a bit about hair dye

most hair dyes are made mostly from conditioners so they actually make your hair softer and in a better condition, so it will be fine the only thing that can destroy your hair is bleach

also, if it does damage the hair then a trim will always take off the dead split bits at the end and make it a lot more healthy

hope this helps

How many times can you dye your hair in a row?

NOOOOOO STOP DYING IT DO NOT DO IT A THIRD TIME!!!! I used to have long healthy hair but then I tried dying it purple so I bleached it, dyed it purple, and the purple came out ORANGE! I then dyed my hair a third time, Black. Big mistake! :c it totally dried out my hair and it's TAKEN 3 YEARS for my hair to recover. With good care of course. I know this is going to sound hard but please trust me. You need to deep condition your hair as much as possible, start using sulfate free products, drop the heat tools, and start wearing your hair in loose braids or buns to prevent breakage. Do this anywhere between 1-5 months (I did this for a year and it sucked :/ ) After your hair has recovered, you should use a natural dye like henna to get your desired color. and then stop dying for a long time. Good luck and don't make the same freakin mistakes I made! you probably don't look as ridiculous as I did, my hair was like orangey black. it looked brassy and dull and dark
