American Pie - Don McLeanUgh!

Prayer and Prayers: How many times have you seen, heard or been aware of a reply to yours?

Well, I don't know if you'd call it a "prayer" or not, but, when I did DJ'ing in Second Life, I often played the Real Life song "Send Me An Angel," especially during 80's sets.It gets in your eyes, it's makin' you cry,Don't know what to do, don't know what to do,You're lookin' for love, callin' heaven above...Send me an angel,Send me an angel,Right now,Right now,Send me an angel,Send me an angel,Right now,Right now...I wound up with Sabrina Hoyt.  So someone was listening, and sent me an angel. :-)

Which song have you heard many times recently?

THESE TWO PATRIOTICALLY THEMED NEPALI SONGS MAKING ROUNDS AND LOOPS , GETTING THE WIDE EYES WETSuna Saaili..Saaili.. Pardesh Bata Ma Aaula, Suna Saili Chaalish Kateshi Ramaaulaa..Hemant Rana’ s direction had already the expectations of the viewers of this video to be something kind of a 5-minute-video worth watching than the three hours movie, when he first played the audio version of this song, and, with this video he has justified it. (Saaili- Beloved Wife)Picture tells it all. The cinematography and the direction have played a crucial role in making this video float with what the words of the song actually mean. The other.. Nepal Bata Bidesh Aaiyo, Nepalaee Jane Ki… Jibesh Gurung’s Bhumi, this song as well gained beautiful local praises when it hit the FMs and radios with its audio version. (Bhumi- Land)These both songs after being adapted into video later co-incidentally got uploaded on YouTube on the same day, i.e., Feb 10, 2017 and equally making rounds and loops among the Nepalese community all over. These two songs apparently being distinct in their own way have the same thing in common, they both are representing the ‘love’ for the Mother Nepal and what could have been better than this, when Valentine’s Day is around the corner. While The Saaili is emitting the love for their better half, the other is shouting out for the beloved motherland.Saili is the story which has mirrored the contemporary nepali societies’ situation, how male protagonists of the society tagged as the bread-winner of their families have to go abroadand thereby earn a living for the people back at home. Bhumi also in a same tone depicts thestory of how one has to manage himself in terms of the works, memories of the home andsimilar emotions while living abroad. The cinematography and the direction have played a crucial role in making this video float with what the words of the song actually mean, henceforth, making the lyrics justified.Hemant Rana ko Saaili, presents the dialogue between Gaurav Pahari and Menuka Pradhan, while Jibesh Gurung in his video is presenting his monologueBeautifully synchronised by the music, profound lyrics, and fervent direction in an emotional theme this video has sophistically been able to hit the right target, making viewers emotionally soaked and awed.To cut a long story short, articulating the present situation of our country in a video has made these songs a must watch. Happy Viewing!Links:SaailiBhumi

Telepathy: How many times have you heard someone say on the telephone, "I was just about to call you"? What was the circumstance?

This happens to me quite often with people I have frequent contact with, I feel you develop a connection. What I was told is that phone companies don't want telepathy to exist because it would make them obsolete for the most part.  They contribute large amounts of money to the medical field to keep telepathy a myth, have it diagnosed as schizophrenia, and bank roll medication to inhibit the ability in people.  The are backed by the government because there would be no way of blocking government secrets from the telepathic, it poses a major security risk.  That why many are very aggressively treat when they say they hear voices or people's thoughts, that the first sign that you are receptive to it, the next is being able to project your thoughts into the conversation, which is basically just thinking what you want to say and projecting it.  I myself can actually feel it coming, which is why I chose to share on the particular topic.  I often would get a feeling to call or text or that I was getting a call or text.  More then once with my wife I have answered her question before she'd even asked!  I'll admit it has caused issues, when deep in "thought conversation" or whatever you want to call it, you tend to neglect those in the room with you.  Honestly though I have seen the same problem with cell phones, people checking Facebook, texting or talking to someone else and ignoring the present company!  I've learned to live with it.  I would love to develop it somehow, but when I first said something about it, it got me committed with psych evals and medication from my employer!  I didn't even bug out, just told them what I was experiencing!

How many times have you heard a money manager say, "regime shift" and "dislocation"?

Money managers are trained to analyze markets, not express their unique viewpoint to external audiences. Many default to jargon in order to be communicative, thinking that it offers precision of thought. But there is the twist. They actually debase their expertise by using corporate-speak.Like many industries, financial services is notorious for jargon. Words and phrases come-and-go. Consider the current widespread use of “risk-on” and “risk-off.” Risk does not operate like a light switch, based on my understanding of capital-markets theory.Few money managers have seasoned marketing-communications professionals on staff to watch for these missteps. Reports and presentations are often reviewed by business-development executives, who most probably are trained in sales, not public relations. The bar among money managers is low; competitive forces drive investment performance, not communications excellence.Image: Nelosa at Can Stock Photo Inc.

How many times have you heard the term 'Russian bombshell" over the last couple years and do you now look any different at the people who used it?

The behavior of the mainstream media has been extremely disgraceful for the last 2 years. They all read from the same script, so much so that they usually the same words on the same day, as if they were told what to say by some higher authority.“Bombshell” was the word applied to every leak, rumor, and leak of a rumor to every ‘collision story”.The script also called for use of the phrases “walls closing in” and “beginning of the end” as often as possible.Spend two minutes on the video in this tweet, and you can see how perfectly the media scripted its reporting on the witch hunt. pic.twitter.com/IN2PEjjuft— The Revolution Is In You (@RoibearddeUna) January 13, 2019

How many times have you actually heard from someone's lawyer after they said you will be hearing from my lawyer?

It’s funny you should ask because, after practicing for 30+ years, it happened for the first time last year. A client who had recently inherited a house from his father got a call that someone was in the house basically tearing it apart. My client went to the property, saw that the kitchen had been ripped out, bathroom fixtures removed, walls stripped - the house was now uninhabitable. There was a contractor there and he gave my client the number of the man who hired him. When my client called, it turned out that this guy was the brother of a woman who had previously rented the house and had an agreement with the (deceased) owner to apply the rent she was paying to a purchase agreement. She paid some months, partially paid others and eventually disappeared. Well, the brother claimed that since he had loaned his sister money some months to make the rent payments he now owned the property! Needless to say, my client called bullshit on that and the brother said “you’ll be hearing from my lawyer.” When I first met the client and heard the story I never in my wildest dreams actually thought this guy had or could get a lawyer. He did and I got a call. I explained the situation, sent him the documents my client had found in his father’s files showing the rent payment history, etc. At the end of the story, I never heard from that lawyer again.
