Are these good reasons to hate Steve Vai's music?

The Shredders vs the Non Shredders..............I have been having this debate/argument for years with a friend of mine, who introduced me to guitar players like Vai and Satriani some time ago, My friend is a big fan of shredders and like a lot of shredder fans, tends to dis on more conventional or well known blues and rock players that I would prefer, eg Gary Moore, Slash, Hendrix, Page, etc etc. I personally really dislike Steve Vai's music and below are the reasons I use to back up my argument.

1) He uses the same tricks and everything in his bag of tricks on every song and nearly all of his songs just descend into fret-board acrobatics and ******y.
2)His music is very rigid and dead sounding, It's musically perfect but it doesn't have that last 1% or magical touch to carry it all the way.
3)His sound hasn't changed in nearly 30 years, he just plays an over-driven Ibanez to cheesy backing tracks.
4)His sound is firmly stuck in the 1980's.
5)He gets praise from Guitar fans who think his skill and use of complicated guitar technique make him a great player and for this alone (not the songs) he should be praised and revered.
6)He hasn't got a single truly great song in him, and if he was as great as is claimed, he would have been heard on the mainstream radio at least once.
7)His playing is extremely robotic and borders on gimmickry.

Why was Steve Jobs so much richer than Steve Wozniak even though they founded Apple together?

Paul earlier gave basically a perfect answer for your question. Although there is one point that he didn't mention, that I will. Before Apple Computer held its initial public offering (or IPO) in 1980, Steve Jobs played a bit of a dickish move.Jobs decided not to grant stock options to a few of the earliest Apple employees - such as Daniel Kottke, Chris Espinosa and Bill Fernandez. As a result, these men who helped found a soon to be billion dollar company were to make no money from the upcoming IPO, which would be the biggest since Ford Motors in 1956.Here's what Wozniak did.Wozniak sold some of his own shares to his friends (at very low prices) because he thought Jobs was being an unfair anal cavity. So at the end of it, Wozniak was left with fewer shares than Jobs and so made less money than Jobs after the IPO.Steve Jobs eventually went on to invest very wisely in Pixar Animation Studios, which made him a healthy $1B when Pixar held its very own IPO.He founded his own computer company, after leaving Apple in 1985, which was called 'NeXT'.When Steve Jobs finally returned to Apple, he eventually got a megagrant of stock which made him another twenty or thirty million USD.So it was out of both Wozniak's generosity and Jobs's own investments that put Jobs valued at about $8 Billion, whereas Steve Wozniak's net worth is estimated to be somewhere around US$100 million today.Wozniak is still richer than most, and his hobbies involve riding on Segways.  - Happy Woz on a Segway.

Can some one explain V for Vendetta to me?

V for Vendetta is based on a DC/Vertigo Comic book written during Margaret Thatchers run as Prime Minister of Britain. It was something of a social commentary on some of her more controversial political decisions. The movie is basically one mans vendetta against the fascist government that tortured/experimented on him and caused his disfigurment. He recruites Eve since he see's something of the person he was in her and grooms her to take over his work in a way once he is gone. He uses guerrialla/terrorist tactics to work the government into a paranoid frenzy in preparation for his final strike. At the end, some of the people seen taking off their masks are people shown during the film to have died at the hands of the Arch Chancellor and his goons.

On September 20, 2001, in the middle of a preseason game between the Philadelphia Flyers and New York Rangers with both teams tied up 2-2, 9 days after the attacks, the game was stopped. A message from United States President George W. Bush about the 9/11 attacks was broadcast on the arena video screen. After the message, the game did not resume and was declared a 2-2 tie.
