How much does a bottle of Patron Tequila cost in a liquor store?

Depends on the size of the bottle, the type of Patron (there's different ones) and the liquor store. Big warehouse stores will usually be cheaper than your local liquor store.

How much does a bottle of tequila cost?

A bottle of tequila can range anywhere from ten bucks to several hundred, depending on the quality, age, and maker. The more you spend, the better quality and smoother it will taste. Contrary to popular belief Jose Cuervo is NOT good tequila - it is harsh, overpriced, and overrated. Don't let anyone talk you into buying it.

For no more than $30 I would suggest either Sauza Hornitos, or Patron. There are several kinds of Patron out there - if you go that route just pick one in your price range - they're all good. Both Hornitos and Patron are decent tequilas that are not too expensive (usually between 20 and 30 bucks), fairly smooth and will not kick your azz going down like Jose Cuervo will.

How much does a large bottle of patron cost?

Patron Tequila can cost up to $185.00. It really all depends on how big of a bottle you're looking for and the type of tequila. It's available in Reposado, Gran Platinum, Anejo, and Silver.

Patron tequila prices?

Patron comes in a number of varieties, just like many tequila brands. You can buy bottles of just about any variety from 375ml to 1.75ml. Of course, some retailers may have sample bottles and larger bottles available, too.

Look to spend around $200 for a bottle of Platinum but the other varieties are more accessible, from $25 for 375ml.

Before you spend too much on something you might not like, try buying a shot at a good bar. Might cost you up to $10 or so, but at least you'll know if you like it before spending a pretty penny on the whole bottle.

Some of the varieties include Anjejo, Platinum, Reposado, and Silver.

If you visit a retailer like Beverages and More or someplace like that, you can generally find someone knowledgable and tell them the type of tequila you like and they'll point you in the right direction or recommend their favorite.

Why does Patron tequila cost so much?

It has to do with the purity of the alcohol and the distillation process... Patron is distilled 3 times.

the better the purity, clearer the taste and higher percentage of alcohol (proof).... the more expensive it is... it takes more time and effort to make Patron Vs. other brands....

What is the best kind of Patron tequila?

Patron is not the best there is, honestly Patron is overhyped bottle of donkey piss, and I say that as somebody who has been actively involved in reviewing distilled spirits eversince my lips were first allowed to come in contact with the high-ball’s & snifter glasses. Both Rodrigo Salas and Josh Hiebel nailed it with their respective answers but if I were to expound further upon their answers, I would suggest, try all variants of Tequila including mixtos (combination of Blue Agave & other sugars). Without knowing your preferences and your drinking habits that is the best I can offer by the way of advice. Also remember Blanco (white) generally makes for good cocktails, Repsoado, Anejo & Extra Anejo (especially the later 2) have mellow scotch like quality & are better for sipping NEAT (I would not recommend Ice, Steel Ice or Silicone cubes, maybe). Another thing to remember is when will you be drinking it; If it is before meal, I would suggest a good Blanco e.g. Espolon , El Mayor Cazadores. Blanco prepares you for heavy meals ahead by cleaning your palette & revving up your appetite. Especially if you are eating meal heavy in fats (red meat) laced with peppers. Blanco also helps neutralize acidity of citrusy foods & makes them taste more sweeter. I personally find Blanco’s really bring out the sweetness in Tomatoes & make Key Limes taste like Cuties (Oranges)Reposado blends well if you are having Poultry or Fish. Again the above 3 Brands are not only competitively priced vis-a-vis Patron but, also tend to pair well with food when taken without any mixers. Reposado, goes down extremely well, especially, when paired with cheese.Anejo’s & Extra-Anejo’s are good with creamy desserts like Flàn, Chocolates & Trés Leches et al. So, it is but obvious that Anejo’s & Extra-Anejo’s are better enjoyed post meal.Once again try and explore Tequilas beyond Patron, do not get sold into the hype.Salute!!!

How is Patron tequila priced?

Patron is priced based on what the manufacturer determines and sets as a good perceived value. Oh yes, for a major brand like Patron they do lots of market studies and tests. And they compare themselves extensively against other “similar” tequilas. And they gauge what the general public feels, thinks, and senses of the brand and what they are willing to pay for such a well-marketed and popular tequila. But ultimately, in the end, if you are a consumer and you really make an effort to taste other tequilas, only you will know for sure if Patron is worth the price - because there are a number of other good or better options for the same, or less, or more, money. But overall, I can tell you that Patron tequila does not need the lime-and-salt ritual — only employ that for the very low end stuff like the comparatively vile-tasting Cuervo Gold. This is my personal opinion based on years of tasting and testing. Cheers!

Is buying Patron Tequila worth the cost?

This is purely opinion.  It is not a YES or NO answer.  But as an owner of a tequila bar I can tell you that Patron is a very nice 100% agave product and you should only be drinking 100% agave tequila.  If it doesn't say 100% Agave on the bottle it isn't (made with blue agave is not the same thing!)That being said, Patron is so large now and so mass produced that it has lost most all of its boutique qualities.  They do not own their agave fields, and they moved their distillery from where their original wonderful product was first made.  This all happened decades ago as they were one of the very first 100%agave tequilas available in the USA.Today there are many many brands available of amazing tequila that are still hand made in small batches and retain the boutique qualities which make this spirit so special.  Some of my favorites are Casa Noble, Riazul, and Clasa Azul.   But that's just my taste.  There are many many other wonderful products and brands out there.I suggest you stop by your nearest tequila bar for tasting.  Stop by my place if your in NYC, http://www.gabrielas.com.  Try a bunch of tequilas next to each other and see what you like.  Do you like blanco's, reposado's or anejo's. Taste products across those lines side by side and see what you prefer.  We provide tasting flights for this purpose. I assume most bars do the same.In terms of price Patron basically created the market for premium 100% agave tequila and in so being set the price points.  Other brands try to come in a little less, or a little more than Patron depending on their costs and how they would like to position themselves.  Then of course you have super premiums that go much higher.  You can certainly find what I consider to be much better brands of tequila for less money.  In my bar I have snifters of tequila available for $14 a glass that I much prefer to other brands that are $100 for the same glass.   Let taste be your guide.  You dont need to spend a fortune to get a nice bottle.  But just make sure its 100% Agave!Salud!
