How much does it cost to do prom makeup in Mac and Sephora?
My prom is on this Wednesday and I still can't find anywhere to do my makeup:/ If I do it in Mac or Sephora,how much does it cost? and do I need to make an appointment??

I want to get my makeup done at Sephora for a special occasion. I've never got it done at Sephora so I don't know if we just pay $50 like at Mac or it depends what brand of makeup you want to use.

Prom season is coming up so you should make an appointment 2–3 weeks before hand.

Babygurl is VERY misinformed. First of all mac does NOT do your makeup for free. There is a 50 dollar minimum purchase to get your makeup done. I know this because I am also getting my makeup done for prom at the mac store and they told me this when I made my appointment. Also, mac artists do not necessarily have more makeup certification than Sephora artists. Yes mac artists do have to go to basic training to learn about the products they're using but Sephora artists are also trained on their products as well. Neither a mac nor a Sephora artist has to have a cosmetology license. Whenever people ask me which is a better place to go, I always always say go to the store and see. The employees in my area could be completely different than the employees in your area. Go to mac store and the sephora store and look around. They used to do it for free...Nordstrom too. They may want you to buy something though.

It doesn't cost anything for them to do a demo on you, but then they expect you to buy some products. That cost will depnd on what you buy- what products and which brand they used. Be sure to sign up for their beauty insider program- it's free and for every 100 points you get you get a deluxe sample (1 dollar spent = 1 point).
Can you get your make-up done at either MAC or Sephora? If so how much does it cost?
I'm going to a wedding on Saturday and want to know whether or not those places will do it. I've heard they'll usually do it as long as you call ahead of time and make an appointment. I've also heard they don't charge you because they're not considered "professionals" but somehow i highly doubt that. I don't want to call until i know for a fact whether or not they charge because i'm not trying to pay an arm and a leg just to get some make-up done. so if anyone knows the deal with that i'd appreciate it.

When I was in high school, a friend of mine had the perfect plan for where to get our makeup done on prom day.We were gonna go to MAC early in the morning, get a “prom makeover” and buy whatever we ended up liking til we reached the minimum limit or all of it if it was that good.It was a BOGO deal, get a face full of makeup and makeup to keep wearing for the rest of the year. Plus MAC sellers usually have amazing makeup applying skills.She ended up doing that, I skipped prom and hung out with my boyfriend from another school, eating peperoni pizza and drinking Pepsi. Beautiful Saturday.Note: if you choose to go that route, make sure to make an appointment! At the time, the minimum amount spent for a free makeover was about $80, equivalent to about 4 makeup products.
