How Much Does It Cost To Replace Brakes On A 2000 Honda Civic Ex Coupe

How much does it cost to replace a 2000 Honda Civic transmission?

Depends on how much you get your replacement for and how much a shop charges. It may take 5 hours to replace it and you can find a used transmission for around $100-$500.Lets say the shop charges 70 per hour labor and you found a used one for $250.Thats $350 for labor and a grand total of $600.There may be unexpected costs like needing new axles or small parts needing replacememt.Look around on craigslist and salvage yards. These transmissions are usually pretty cheap. Ask local shops their hourly rate as well as get reviews online.(Trans)+(hours x labor cost)+(unexpected costs)= Total

What does it cost to replace a wheel bearing on a 2010 Honda Civic ex 4 door?

Roughly 1–2 hours. You can go to r e p a i r p a l. com to get a pretty accurate estimate. Because parts and labor prices vary depending upon where you live. Good luck and hope this helps.

Does a 2007 honda civic ex have rear disc or drum brakes?

They have 4 wheel disc brakes.

How much should it cost to replace brake pads on a 2006 Honda Civic?

$700 is way too much, even for front and rear.  A decent pair of brake pads, e.g., EBC Green Stuff costs about $70.  It's at most 1.5 hours of labor to change them per axle. Labor at a typical shop in the Bay Area is around $100/hr. I say $250 all inclusive is a fair price for fronts only; $400 for front+rear.

2013 honda civic LX vs. EX?

LX has basic plastic hubcaps 15 inch tires, EX gives you a larger tire size and alloy wheels. The seats and interior of the EX is a bit upgraded. At first look they look the same, but the material is better in the EX. You get power seats in the EX also. A little bit better stereo system.
Put it this way, adding that extra 2000 onto the price of the car is not gonna change your payments very much. Maybe $30 more a month.

My mom recently traded in her leased Accord on another Accord and went with the EX this time. Its well worth it.

Honda civic si or ex?

1. About the same, I like the Si look better though.
2. Around $2,500-$3,000 in good condition.
3. Stock vs stock the Si really doesn't boast an impressive gain over the EX. A B16 is just a fancy D16. The EX really sucks though if an Automatic. IMO: comes down to the driver.
4. Can't answer this one. It depends on your goals and what you plan. I have seen both engines make over 400whp (B16A2 and D16Y8).
5. MPG, about 28-30 average for both.

The 411...
1. Body kits, spoilers, neon, bright paint, stickers, rims over 16", and fart can mufflers are BAD.
2. Both are prone to theft, get a good alarm professionally installed. Not some POS Best Buy/Walmart install, even a novice thief can defeat those crappy installs in less than 10 seconds. Take it to a audio/security specialty shop and have it done right.
3. Subwoofers are nice, but if you plan on any type of racing, just get some nice speakers. Sub's are dead weight.
4. 7,500k RPM may be fun, but it's not necessary 100% of the time.
5. Aftermarket parts are expensive, OEM parts are fairly priced. Parts are easy to find
6. Aftermarket "performance" parts on eBay are crap, stay away.
7. Cops are going to hassle you, especially if an exhaust is installed.
8. If you live in California, cops are an even worse issue and CARB is a real pain in the a**.
9. It looks bad if you gut the interior.
10. Removing the A/C and P/S will give you very minimal gains.

Civic EX: http://image.automotive.com/f/powerpages...

@ Ichiban: The EX is a D16Y8, that DOES have VTEC.
@ Eddie Carreiro: The USDM EX and Si vary greatly. The EX came with the D16Y8 and the USDM Si came with the B16A2 just like the Canadian Si-R, both are an EM1. You have to remember that technically the Si-R was not sold in the U.S. and was instead sold as an Si.

What goes into the cost of replacing a Honda Accord bumper?

What goes into the cost?Cost of the partCost of the prep and paintingCost to installHow much are those costs? That depends on several factors. Where are you?. Labor in Arkansas is a lot less than labor in Silicon Valley. Are you buying a new bumper or used? Are you buying a factory bumper or a aftermarket reproduction?

What is a quick fix to a brake light switch on a Honda Civic?

I agree with both other answers. Replace with new. It's mounted under the dash, rests in the normally open position until you depress the brake pedal which closes the switch illuminating the brake lights and cutting out cruise control. It's is a common problem associated with "Cruise Control not working" complaints. Or "Cruise Control shut off while driving" complaints. I would just replace it with new, and adjust it. It would be the quickest repair. But I can tell you I have removed one for a friend, disassembled it, cleaned the contacts, bent the terminals to improve asperity, re assembled it (without braking any plastic tabs) re installed it, adjusted it. It lasted for at least another year. It depends on what your time is worth.

How much is it to replace a torque converter for a 2000 Honda Accord Ex?

That depends on where you live because parts and labor prices vary widely depending on location. Go to r e p a i r p a l .com and give the needed information and you’ll get a good ballpark estimate. Good luck and hope this helps.
