How Much Is My 1938 Cadillac Lasalle Worth

How much is my 1938 Cadillac LaSalle worth?

I have a 1938 Cadillac LaSalle that I would like to sell, but I am unsure what the real money asking price should be. I have seen a few restored going for $28-30k that have been restored and have more miles.

My LaSalle is light Blue and has only 23k original miles. It has been in temp-controled storage for the past 6 years and has been started annually and covered. The car is a 50 series with the 3 on the tree and rear suiside doors. The cars body is in perfect condition and is all original.

The only flaws with this car is it has a small rip in the back pasanger seat. and a few of the rubber items have shown a small amount of dryroting.

I have been kicking around the idea of selling the car, but I would like to have a starting price before I proceed.

Hope someone can help. Thanks

These days all the cars are curvy in design. Is this just a fashion trend or is there something related to aerodynamics that is found out recently?

There are several reasons I can think of when it comes to modern design of outer body of a car.One of the main reason is of course aerodynamic shape optimisation. With improvement in both computational resources and skills such as new and improved softwares and CFD codes being available, it greatly simplifies the process of shape optimisation. Today, the technology has improved so much that some of the higher end luxury cars even have active aerodynamic control ( usually implemented only for aircrafts). Check this out:You can also have a look at the reduction of coefficient of drag for automobiles over the last few decades here: Automobile drag coefficient - WikipediaAnother reason is poeple today don't want a plain looking design anymore. They want something which looks very sleek and organic (As often quoted by my Machine Design Professor). In addition to that, design and manufacturing technology has gone hand in hand in terms of technological progress so in todays world, it is extremely viable and also really good for marketing for a sleeky and shiny car. Here have look at how outer shape of a car has evolved over the past century:
