How Much Is This $100 Bill Worth

What is my 1950 $100 dollar bill worth?

The value will depend upon

(1) The series (1950, 1950 A, ... , 1950 E)
(2) The grade of the bill
(3) The Federal Reserve Bank that issued it and
(4) If the serial numbers include a star.

To estimate the grade of the bills see

http://www.thecurrencyhouse.com/index.cf...

If the serial number does not contain a star the value of each bill is probably
between $100 and $150 if the bill is graded "very fine"
between $200 and $300 if the bill is graded "uncirculated."

If the serial number does contain a star and the bill is graded "uncirculated" it is likely worth between $500 and $1,000 unless the series is 1950 E, in which case it is probably worth more.

How much is a 100 dollar bill worth from 1847?

Chances are it is a replica/counterfeit and worth very little. Is it from “ the bank of the United States", if so then it is fake. On parchment like paper, or printed on only one side? Fake. The US didn't really circulate paper money until after the Civil war. There are “ broken banknotes” from individual banks that have some collector value , typically not a lot though-canal bank probably most common from then. Need a picture to even begin to ascertain worth of a collectible item though as condition is typically paramount.

How much is the worth of a ton of $100 bills?

I just weighed a stack of eight bills with a postage scale, and came up with 1/4 ounce for the whole stack. At 1/4 ounce per eight bills, you’d need 4x8 = 32 bills to make up one ounce. 16 ounces is a pound, so one pound of bills is 16x32=512 bills. One U.S. ton is 2000 pounds, so 512 x 2000 = 1,024,000 bills. These are $100 bills, so to get dollars at face value, we multiply 1,024,000 x 100 and get $102,400,000. For better accuracy, we could weigh more bills, make sure we were weighing hundreds (to account for things like the security stripe possibly changing the weight), and use something more accurate than my little postage scale to weigh them. And of course, if you have a ton of money and it’s weighing you down, there are plenty of worthy things you could be doing with it.(Yes, I’m aware there are different ounces and tons and so on. Feel free to do your own arithmetic if you’d like to use other units or other assumptions.)

What is my 1950 $100 dollar bill worth?

As a piece of currency it will buy exactly as much as any other $100 bill will today, which is a lot less than what it could have bought in 1950! As a collectible for someone's collection, it may or may not be worth a greater amount than its value as currency. Consider the following chart showing the declining value of the dollar in recent decades.

I have a 1934 $100 bill, is it worth anything?

It's going to depend on whether or not there is a letter after the "1934" (when minor changes are made to currency, rather than begin a new series year, a letter is added). You could have a Series 1934, 1934A, 1934B or 1934C. Because of that, your bill (depending on the letter after the year) could have been printed any time between 1934 and 1949.

If you wanted to sell it to a dealer, you'd probably get about $125 if it's a '34, '34B, or 34C. A '34A would bring you about $115.

BTW, the "H" in the top left and bottom right are a "plate position" marker. Notes are printed on large sheets (18 to a sheet when yours was printed) and then cut into individual notes. To show where it was on the original sheet, they used the first 18 letters of the alphabet, laid out like this:

A B C
D E F
G H I
J K L
M N O
P Q R

The number next to the "H" on the right is the plate number. There's also a plate number on the back, on the far right.

How much does a 1943 100 Dollar Bill Worth?

I am assuming you mean series 1934, there was no series 1943. In Very Fine condition, which could be your bill, it retails for around $125 to $130. I am using an old price book so you might want to check the value with a local coin dealer. Most coin dealers also work with paper money.

I have a $100 bill from 1864. anyone know how much its worth?

If it has a "tiny" tear and fold, it doesn't count as "mint" condition. Sorry. But keep it in good condition (try not to handle it with bare hands-- stamp tongs & don't squeeze too hard are best. Don't use tweezers from the drugstore-- they have sharp edges and are not stamp tongs. Your local bookstore might have a book on paper currency with approximate value (similar to ones that tell coin values).
Look on the back and make sure it doesn't say copy or replica. Sounds like an interesting item regardless of the resale value.

Is $100 bill and $1 bill made of the same thing that is worth the same?

OThe same basic paper is used. Security threads, special characters, water marks and the like are used to prevent raised notes. The security features are built in to prevent counterfeit bills. Which would be worth more, 1 pound of $100 bills or 100 pounds of $1 bills?

Oooh okay. Going to stick to SI units for this one:The 100 Dollar bill, the Benjamin Franklin weighs 1.0 grams, according to Wikipedia. One pound is 0.453592 kg. Convert the 1 gram to kg as well, and we get 0.453592 / 0.001 which yields 453.592 Benjamins. The fraction is actually a problem here, rounding up (454) or down (453)will have a huge difference. If we round up, our pound-o-Franklins are worth $45400. If we round down, the pound of 100's will be worth $45300Onto the Washingtons! Wikipedia cites “approx” 1 gram, which is problematic. Is it over? Is it under? I will take 1 gram at face value.100 pounds is 45.3592kg. Divide by the 0.001 gram and we get 45359.2. Rounding up or down here does not really matter, so lets just round up to the nearest integer: $45360.And now look at my answers:100 pound Washingtons = $ 453601 pound Franklins rounded up = $ 454001 pound Franklins rounded down = $ 45300It all depends whether the pound of 100's, am I supposed to stop BEFORE I cross the pound mark, or if I am allowed to go over by less than the weight of one?Caveat: I am assuming the “approx 1 gram” on Wiki to mean that I can use 1 gram.Peace

Is a 1950 series $100 bill worth more than face value?

To collectors, it will be worth more than a face value. In fact, as of this writing, a crisp 1950 series $100 bill is selling for $336 on E-bay.However, as a legal tender, you can still use the bill and buy things that are worth $100. Once that bill goes to the bank and returned to the U.S. Bureau Engraving and Printing, it is confirmed for authenticity and is destroyed. It is how the Federal Reserve tries to keep a balance of how much money is issued by the US government.
