How Serious Would This Cancer Be

How serious is Skin Cancer?

If caught early its like every other cancer. A joke, they cut it off, biopsy it to make sure they got it all, stitch you up and send you home. But if it manifests for years it is like every other cancer. Dangerous and life threatening. But most of the time people notice the big brown growth on their face or body before it can turn that serious.

Could it be something serious or cancer? :(?

You have just answered your own question 'I'm bit of a hypochondriac' This is also now known as Health Anxiety which makes us worry over the slightest issue with our health.

You are 13 years old, it would be very very rare for you to get this type of cancer at any age even more at your age. You have a skin condition which can be annoying but is not harmful to you. Please speak to your parents or whoever looks after and tell them you are worried about this, ask them to take you to the doctors so the doctor can confirm there is nothing wrong and also tell him about you being a hypochondriac. Good luck and please do not worry! You are young go out and enjoy life!

How serious is thyroid cancer?

Thyroid CancerThyroid cancer is the ninth most common cancer in the United States. In 2014, it is estimated that nearly 63,000 Americans will be diagnosed with thyroid cancer, and nearly 1,900 will die of the disease. The overall incidence of this cancer in the United States has increased in people of all racial/ethnic groups and in both males and females over the past several decades.Thyroid cancer typically doesn’t cause any signs or symptoms early in the disease. As it grows, it may cause:A lump that can be felt through the skin on your neckChanges to your voice, including increasing hoarsenessDifficulty swallowingPain in your neck and throatSwollen lymph nodes in your neckThe reality is that thyroid cancer is one of the most treatable cancers there is. One rare type of thyroid cancer is almost always fatal in a short term, but that is, and I emphasize this, extremely rare. The common papillary or follicular (differentiated) thyroid cancer is relatively non-threatening once diagnosed. It can be surgically removed or treated with a radioactive iodine that offers a 95% survival rate at 10 years, or something ridiculously optimisitic like that, with high survival rates at the 20 and 30 year marks, too; all of that means there is plenty of time to die of something completely unrelated, even old age.For More Information-Thyroid Cancer

Understanding cancer and its side effects. How serious is pneumonia and brain tumors?

My father in law has suffered with cancer for over a year. First it was in his esophogaus and then the brain. He became one of the 12% to get through it. Now the tumors are back in the brain and he recently checked himself out of the hospital with pneumonia. He will not talk to anyone about how serious this is. We are worried and any and all info would help. Thanks
