First and foremost, you have to be comfortable in what you wear. You can buy the latest polo or jeans that you saw in a magazine, but if you're not comfortable in it, it won't translate well. Second, start to get ideas from different sources (IE: websites, fashion blogs, mannequins in stores you visit, etc.) and use that as a guide with your own style. I used this technique every time I go shopping whether online or in stores.Third, dress in clothes that fit the situation. There's a time and place to bring out the gym shorts and pass that off as your "trendy bottoms" for the day. Sure, if you're actually going to the gym then by all means gym shorts are the way to go. Otherwise, give yourself a little more credit. Depending on your job or the event you're going to, learn when it's OK to dress up or dress down.Forth, don't forget the little things. As an engineer, you know how important details are. Buy items that fit you well. Baggy is out. If you have something that you really want to buy (like a nice charcoal suit), but it doesn't fit you well, then take the time and invest in a good tailor. Trust me, compliments will come your way with an outfit that actually fits. Also, think about accessorizing. Accessories aren't just for ladies. A nice watch, sunglasses, tie or cuff links can really make an outfit go from zero to hero. Lastly, you don't need to break the bank to look good. Find staple items and items that transition well from season to season. Season colors are, of course, going to change with the season, but by having a staple wardrobe (IE: a nice pair of khakis and dress pants, jeans that fit well, dress shoes in both black and brown, a nice button up that you can wear with layers, and some accessories) you'll be ready to go into the new season without having to buy a new wardrobe. Well,it depends on many things to be precise….first the nature of the weddingIf it is Indian schemed wedding you can go with sherwani ,preferably Royal blue and Royal red(if you want to look elegant),I suppose black coloured sherwani with smooth work do also look little dynamic and different.If you are having a Christian wedding , and want to look classic then go with a black coloured suit with white shirt… tie is not needed…(it's understood that the top most button must be kept open if not wearing a tie).And if you don't mind being in spot light…then go with a navy blue suit….you can go without tie too but if wearing tie…wear the same color .Last but not the least…Please do think about your comfort zone and choice accordingly….and also carry yourself in an elegant mannerPS. How is calling a black guy black, or a fat guy fat, or an old guy old offensive?
It is offensive because it is none of your business to judge another person unless such an opinion is sought by the person (or under professional circumstances). Stereotyping people is a social evil. Such characterization eventually leads to other incorrect generalizations - black indulge in crime, fat people are lazy, old guy are slow drivers. Society's generalizations are cruel to people especially to impressionable minds. They lose their motivation and self-esteem to aim and work towards their fullest potential.To indulge in such stereotyping therefore amounts to harming another person and therefore is unacceptable.

A great pair of casual shoes to wear with polo shirts and slim fit chinos are Converse Jack Purcells. They're a good alternative to other canvass sneakers like Chuck Taylors and also go with jeans. Another good pair of shoes to get are a pair of boat shoes, something in a dark brown or blue. Also, every guy should have a pair of black oxford dress shoes for dressier occasions.
