How The Hell Am I Suppose To Lose Weight If I Need To Eat Calories My Calorie Intake Is 2 150 And

If weight loss really is as simple as "burn more calories than you consume", why is exercise necessary instead of just counting calories?

You can just count calories and if you are in a calorie deficit then you will lose weight. But if you want to lose fat, which I think should be the ideal goal for everyone, then counting calories is not enough because you will not only lose fat but muscle as well. Not to lose muscle, you need to do two extra things:Weight lifting type of exercise. It could be a body building style, Crossfit, Orange theory, calisthenics and so on.You need to make sure you eat enough protein daily somewhere between 0.8 and 1.2 grams per body weight in pounds.Following this will make you the fittest self of yourself and will guarantee you will not be skinny fat.By the way, don’t just focus on the scale. Use also the mirror to see body composition changes weekly. The scale is a good tool but it does not tell the whole story of your diet or weight/fat loss.

How many kilos could I lose if I ate 500 calories a day for 10 days?

If I was funny and edgy I would say you would lose your lifeBut as the serious person I often amEating 500 calories a day is NOT recommendedLow activity or older than 55: 13 calories per pound of body weightModerately active: 15 calorie per poundVery active: 18 calorie per poundE.gA moderately active man weighing 170 pounds or 77Kg will burn around 2550 calories a dayEating only 500 calories a day can result in loss of muscle mass, developing eating disorder (if the diet is long term) and so on.To survive on 500 calories you’ll have to be a toddler weighing around 17kg or 38pounds that sits home all dayIf you’re not a 17kg toddler doing minimal exercise try sticking to a less extreme dietary plan

How does being anorexic make you lose weight?

Well, alex, if you don't eat you will lose weight. You will start losing weight in a mere few days. It depends on the weight of the person when they first stop eating. A fat person will lose weight slower and are more likely to give up. A skinny person usually has a higher metabolism and less fat and will lose weight faster. It really takes a lot of determination to be anorexic. After a few days, the pain in your stomach fades and becomes numb. You will still suffer headaches but you get used to them. A feeling of dizzyness or light-headedness will settle in so you are in a perpetual state of feeling sort of "high". Also, you'll sleep a lot. Sleep takes away the pain. Then your body adapts to the lack of food and you get some energy back from the increase in addrenaline. Then life becomes a living, waking hell.

How do you manage to eat enough calories a day?

Okay, so I know this is a stupid question, but I'm serious. For me, getting to even 1,200 calories is extremely hard for me to do. I don't know why. It's like, I just don't know how it's even possible to eat more than that. *shrugs* :\ I eat all the healthiest things (including oatmeal, veggies, and fruit) I know it's really bad for me to have such a low calorie consumption, and it's even caused me to gain weight! This has been a long battle for me. I've been trying to raise my calorie consumption for months, but it's so hard. Maybe it's because I try to eat three meals a day? I don't know, maybe I should try to eat six meals, but I don't think I have time to be thinking about food ALL THE TIME. Ugh. Please help me? I've gained some weight because of this, which makes me extremely frustrated. No one else will help me, so I've come to you for advice...

By the way, I'm 17 and 5'2. I used to weigh 140 pounds, but I'm near 150 right now! This makes me so upset with myself... I want to lose weight before summer, and I know raising my calorie consumption will help, even if that sounds odd.

P.S. - Could I have possibly gained weight because I've become vegetarian? I haven't even been eating eggs... Eggs used to be a huge part of my diet, so maybe this could be the reason? That would be weird though because they always say eggs makes you GAIN weight... :\ *slaps head* I'm also anemic and have hyperthyroidism... Could those be contributing? I'm also really stressed, so...

Is 930 calories enough?

Okay, so I did this thing to find out how many daily calories I'm supposed to intake if I want to lose at least 2 pounds a week and it added up to 930 calories.

I was wondering, since I am a teenager, if that would stunt my growth or stop my metabolism in any way.

I don't want to do something that is unhealthy for me.

Some info on myself:

I am sixteen, a girl, 5'7 and 142 lbs, small boned.

I want to lose about twenty lbs but first I have to figure out a regular diet and exercise plan.

I was thinking that calorie intake might be my first stop.
